Yojo had been nursing a splitting hangover when he'd been given the simple sheet of paper detailing his mission assignment. It seemed that there was some form of voracious wildlife causing havoc throughout the countryside of Konoha. It made him a tad sad as he read the description over in its entirety. He'd always considered himself an animal lover by and large, it was why he'd adopted three cats and let them have run of the house while he was out on assignments. The thought of killing an animal, more than a person, made him feel a tad bitter inside. Still, a job was a job, and if this beast was proving to be a thread to society then it was his duty to eliminate it. So, taking a few pills to sober him up, drinking a copious amount of water, and taking the pain meds he'd been prescribed, Yojo went about preparing for his day. He fed his cats, cleaned their litter boxes, read the news, and tried to not antagonize the scar tissue that was freshly formed all along his back. He was barely a Special Jonin, and yet he was already being put back out on assignments for the village. Yojo grumbled in thought, thinking back on his conversation with Takao. The storm was coming toward the roots of the oak tree, he had to be strong. He couldn't let anyone else be hurt like the devastation he'd witnessed in the Land of Frost.

Once he was properly dressed, swords at his hip, Yojo left his home on the Uchiha family estate, taking the long road from the center of the village to its main gate. It was a fairly busy day, all things considered. It was only once he reached the main entrance that he discovered his mission partner was a familiar face. A mild look of surprise appeared on Yojo's face as he gradually took in the form of Hina. She looked more mature somehow, though considering their previous encounter together, he was uncertain how strong she had grown as a result. Hopefully this time she would prove to be more useful than just casting variously useful genjutsu. Despite these uncertainties, Yojo put on a welcoming smile, "Hina" he greeted, nodding as he spoke. "It's good to see you again" he offered, reaching out with his free hand to shake. He hadn't seen her since their escapade tracking down a cult of kidnapping Jashin fanatics. They had a bit to catch up on, most recently, "I heard you were fighting with the Leaf forces in the land of frost. Were you successful in besting the enemy forces?" he asked, motioning for them to begin their long walk to the wolf's hunting grounds. His wounds from that battle were still fresh in his mind, even if his scars had begun to heal- he wondered if it was the same for Hina or not.

She seemed more nervous than before, strangely enough. Yojo didn't quite no much of anything about Hina, save for her changed appearance. She had managed to survive an actual battle and not end up being viciously mauled to death, so that had to count for something, right? He had had his own fair share of cuts and nicks, as well as shenanigans, but compared to what he'd seen and heard from other veterans, his injuries had been light. He eyed her collarbone as she rubbed it, was she roughed up that badly? He didn't want to ask nor make her feel uncomfortable, instead receiving a similarly benign question to add to their modicum of small talk. "No, no. I've been busy working here in the Land of Fire to track down bandits. Not exactly the most glamorous job in the world, but I'd still feel better taking it on than letting a poor Genin get overwhelmed and killed" he admitted, remembering his previous few missions fairly well. "As for the sharingan? It's something that feels like it has a mind of its own, really. It'll take its sweet time before growing to its full maturity I think" he bemoaned, exhaling a tad in frustration. He'd been training and exerting himself a great deal over the past few months, yet he'd had little to no progress in adding his third and final Tomoe. For now, he'd settle for two.

Her next revelation certainly took him off guard though. "Wait... Wait, what?" he asked, trying to make sure he'd heard that right. She was a Hyuga? He'd never known nor asked about what her clan was nor if she was an undiscovered shinobi like him, but of all teh clans that he might've guesstimated her to be, the Hyuga was low on that list... Then again, he wouldn't have pegged himself as a Uchiha, but that was a whole other can of worms he didn't want to get into. "No, no I don't believe it! That's crazy! Still, I don't think you'd lie about that sort of thing" he said with a nervous but still loud laugh as he walked next to Hina. Once he felt a bit more at ease with the news, he tilted his head in confusion. "What do you mean? What kind of hobbies don't you have time for?" he asked. He was glad she had been promoted, lord knew he had been running that rat race for ages before he finally was made a Tokubetsu Jonin after the Battle of the Land of Frost, but he still had time to pursue what little passions he had in his life outside of work. His cats certainly brought him a great deal of joy, as did painting and going to shows. "Ever since I was found out to be one of the few Uchiha left in Konoha, I've been getting visits from clans trying to marry me off. You won't believe the lengths some parents will go to get these eyes. It's a bit overwhelming. There are days that I miss not being known for just them, I'm sure you'll miss them too" he thought aloud as he continued walking alongside his partner.

As they walked towards the creature's hunting grounds, the atmosphere around them began to change gradually into a more sinister and suspensefool air. Yojo, seeing human remains and broken carts along the side of the road, activate his sharingan. This wolf may not have been a shinobi, but it's natural chakra signature would still help him track it as it undoubtedly tried to hunt them both. He didn't unsheath any of his swords just yet, he wanted to wait to keep the beast in his sights first. Seeing Hina jump was a tad cute though, he wouldn't lie. He placed a hand on top of the girl's as if to help ground her, "Easy there. We're shinobi. What can one measely wolf do to us?" he asked aloud in a way that certainly-definitely wouldn't come back to bite him later. He was scanning the area around them, able to see further than his partner's young dojutsu- but still not omniscient as he knew higher powered Uchiha to be. "It's still too far away. I don't see it either," he grunted in frustration. "For now, we'll follow its cries. It must be hunting something, either us or an easier prey... Here," he started, forming a hand seal and causing two Shadow Clones of himself to appear beside him. "It's just one, so we'll find it and keep at a distance while we whittle it down. We'll use superior numbers to overwhelm it" he stated, getting a nod of approval from his duo of clones. Of course they agreed, they didn't have a choice!

"Ready?" he asked, pulling out a sword in tandem with his dopplegangers and preparing to breakout into a more traditional run in pursuit of the wolf.
