Jutsu Training:

Rai had woken up today in a rather up beat and joyous mood. As a result of this mood, he decided he would train harder than he had ever done. Just before he left the comfort of his home, he did 2 sets of 20 reps of pushups, experimenting with all grips he knew; wide, medium, small, diamond and even the complex T pushup. This was the most he had ever done in his life! The fact that he could do it effortlessly, with a smile on his face through out showed that he had been slacking all his life, not bringing out his full potential. He felt the pain from doing so many push ups all over his upper body; his pectorals throbbed, he could in fact feel his arm muscles growing. He loved the sensation push ups gave his body as he could feel every muscle harden. It was then, that he decided that the would not lazy around, regardless of his mood, that he would always be the best he could be and give in his all into everything he did. To someone else, this promise he made would have been an act of pure foolishness, but to someone lazy as Rai, it meant everything.
As he left his home, he made sure to lock the door and kept the key in his right pocket. He had recently developed the habit of forgetting were he placed his items, so he would always put his right hand in his pocket just to check if the key was still there. As he walked down the street, greeting each villager he passed with a big smile, past memories came to his mind about his life as a ninja in general. He turned a corner to a dead end, the base of one of the mountains that surrounded the village facing him. He smiled and ran up the mountain, chakra concentrated at his feet, then he bounced off when he was about 5 meters up the mountain, landing on a nearby building top, continuing to walk casually as if nothing at all had happened. He remembered the encounter with the mutant rabbit and Arashi's assistance, it was at that little incident that he had first summoned Azaru. The first building was coming to its end, so Rai, still walking casually, chakra jumped to the next building. He remembered his experiences at the Academy, and his Genin days, how he had trained and trained so hard to become Chunin. He had ended up becoming Chunin but he had disappointed himself with his scores. It was after he had become Chunin that he started slacking off. He remembered the spar with Arashi and the other kid...they were certainly strong Genin ! Rai was stronger than them when he himself was at their Genin rank, but now at Chunin, he couldn't even take on Arashi alone. Arashi....I wonder how the little guy is doing.
Rai stopped walking and sat down, legs crossed on top of the building. Remembering the promise he made to himself earlier and still feeling the sensation from the push ups in his body, Rai smiled to himself. He was now a changed boy.

He stood up from his cross legged position, and started doing some stretches. Although it wasn't very obvious, Rai loved reading. Recently, he had read about easier ways to training jutsu that had to do with chakra molding. Rai reached for his left pouch on his flack jacket and pulled out a sheet of paper. He had written notes down from the book and folded them into his jacket. He read the information given on the sheet three times, memorizing it, before placing it back in his pouch. Basically, all he had to do was a series of set exercises before he actually started training the jutsu. He started by jogging on the spot for five minutes, the doing push ups once again till he felt the sensation come back. He then went on the floor and did 50 reps of sit ups and 4 sets. He repeated the whole process one more time before dropping to the ground in exhaustion. This is definitely hard work! But I have to do it if I want to become stronger...

Ten minutes later, he was done with the exercises and his whole body was pulsing. He could feel his own heartbeat, echoing throughout his body as loud and demanding as the bass in a marching fun fare band. At this point, he had taken his flack jacket off and his under shirt, leaving his bare upper body, glinting in the sunlight by his sweat. He sat down yet again, and crossed his legs. Every move he made with his body hurt like hell...but not in the bad, bleeding kind of way...in a positive, making progress way. He closed his eyes, and deepened his breathing. He could feel it. All around his body he could feel it. Asides from the sensation he was getting all over his body, he could feel the movement in his blood stream, his heart pumping first ferociously then slowly due to his deepened breathing. Right beside that, he could feel the flow of something else. Something much more delicate to feel. He could feel the movement of chakra in his body. It was a very feint feeling, he almost thought he was imagining it...but it didn't stop. He smiled to himself as he had won his first victory. This was Step 1 into practicing new jutsu easier and much more effectively. Now, time for Step 2...
He quickly opened his eyes as a cold but soothing wind wiped his back. It was now time to actually train chakra molding. These jutsu that he was training were not ones that Rai is used to. Usually, the jutsu he uses, are made up of chakra that is focused on a particular part of his body but this time, he was to release the chakra into an external body which may prove to be more challenging. That's what training's about I guess...improving oneself in areas that they are not used to. He was truly a changed boy, as on a normal day, this wouldn't be happening.

1043/2000

He took in a deep breath, then blew out. He continued to do this until his whole body was calm and still, no longer over active. As he was about to place his hands on the floor, he heard the sound of angry villagers coming from below him. As he walked slowly to the edge of the building, he took a short glance, curious as to what the hell was going on. Right below him, there was a crowd of people arguing but Rai didn't know what exactly they were arguing about. There seemed to be two sides, one of which an elderly man was calmly talking and the other, a fat man shouting his brains out. Next to the old man, was a person but Rai couldn't tell the gender. The figure was in a long, shapeless cloak which had a massive hood as well so Rai couldn't quite catch a glimpse of the face. This automatically stimulated his curiosity, which resulted in him jumping off the other side of the building, then turning round to join the gathered group of people. From what Rai could pick up from all the commotion, the hooded person had stolen something valuable from the fat guy, but the old man kept on saying that the girl stole nothing. This man was probably her guardian or something. Strange.....I have seen this man somewhere before...... Before Rai could try and place where he had seen this elderly man before, the hooded figure started to speak. It was a feminine voice, a beautiful one at that and Rai realized he had also heard this voice from somewhere. As she spoke, he was starting to get a serious feeling of deja vu and everything in him told him to close his ears. So he did, and he watched as slowly, the crowd began to dispatch, as if nothing at all had happened. Even the fat man, who had been stabbing his stubby finger at the old man, slowly walked away. Rai turned back to look at the girl, and realized she had disappeared.

1399/2000

Now that the crowd had dispersed, he was free to get back to his training! So he ran up the same building and continued from where he stopped. He smiled to himself as he realized he was going to make a massive stone wall on top of someone's house! As he lay his palms on the ground, and concentrated his earth natured chakra, willing it to disperse from his body and join to form a stone wall, Rai's mind drifted to when he had seen that technique the person had used on the whole crowd before...

"Doton:Doroku Gaeshi no Jutsu"

He said that with an absent mind, still thinking about where he had seen what whoever that was, had done. Looking up at the result of his first attempt at the jutsu, he saw a stump made out of rocks. Good enough for a first try. He blinked as the cold wind blew into his iris's and when he opened his eyes he was totally taken aback by what he saw. There on his rock stump, stood the hooded figure. Rai immediately did three hand springs backwards, nearly falling over the building, to get some space between him and the intruder. She just chuckled and took off her hood. It's...that's...
"Hello Raishi"
She spoke with a smile, her elegant beautiful smile. The wind blew her blonde her all over her face, making her beauty much more wild and natural than it already was.
"Kayari??"
She smiled some more, the sun seemed to radiate her beauty.Rai was absolutely mind blown. This was Kayari, his first and only crush from the academy. During his more slacking days, she had been the one to encourage him to step up. She always wanted him to be the best because she believed he had the potential. She believed in him even when he had disappointed her countless times. She had been the smartest kid in the academy at his time, and she also had a rare skill. She could tell anyone anything and make them believe it was true. There were times she could even make people totally forget about something...or someone. He remembered her telling him about how she was born with a roaming demon in her and it granted her certain abilities. Memories long forgotten suddenly started flowing back into Rai's head.....how had Rai forgotten about her??
"I know you are very confused right now and you have ALOT of things to ask me, but now isn't the time..
Rai noticed that her face started changing, her pupils turning deep red. She started having a menacing look to her, like she had just switched personalities....The Demon!!!
"DIE MORTAL!!"
It then let out a deafening scream, exposing rows of hundreds of sharp pointed teeth. Rai couldnt help but painfully watch as it took in a deep breath then began blowing out dozens of life threatening looking teeth at him. Automatically, he ducked to the ground and placed his palms on the ground.
"Doton:Doroku Gaeshi no Jutsu !!"


1936/2000

He watched as a thin slab of rock erupted from the ground, taking about a third of the little teeth before crumbling back down.He felt a group of the venomous teeth wiz over his head and his heart throbbed...he needed to restrain the demon, without hurting Kayari's body so all his offensive jutsu were out of the question. The demon began spewing out armies of teeth once again, this time bigger, longer and much sharper ones. Rai yet again, placed his palms on the floor and swiftly channeled his chakra. The wall rose, faster and thicker this time. It took more hits that the previous one before crumbling down. Only one tooth had survived the encounter with the stone wall. It passed by Rai's cheek this time, leaving a long, thin scar there. It wasn't deep, but it had penetrated enough skin to bring out blood. Rai knew that until his wall got strong enough, he would suffer several of these scars and this strengthened him. Although the cut wasn't deep, it was dreadfully painful; if he moved a muscle on his face, it hurt like hell. He couldn't dare imagine how painful it would feel if he got two of those scars.
It was odd how nobody could hear or pay any attention to him and this monster on top of a very obvious building. He had no time to contemplate what was happening as the demon started spewing out more teeth. They came in hundred this time, no longer dozens. Much more lethal. Still in his crouching position, he once again, placed his hands on the ground, extending his earth natured chakra to on the ground. This time, a significantly bigger wall was formed and it was definitely thicker than his previous attempts. It was much stronger as it could withstand all the teeth shot out from Kayari before, crumbling down. He smiled to himself. Rai had done it. He had gone outside of his comfort zone and mastered a new kind of jutsu.


2274/2000

His moment of victory lasted only a few milliseconds as Kayari started charging at him. "Shit...I am no Taijutsu specialist". As he turned, jumping over buildings, heading too run up the closest mountain, the demon at his tail, he made sure to make a note in his head stating that he would have to get Arashi to help him in train in taijutsu, being the only taijutsu specialist that he knew.
Left, Right, Left, Right.....Jump
He was on auto pilot, running towards the mountain he had passed earlier like his life depended on it. As a matter of fact, his life DID depend on it! He was getting closer to the mountainf now, about 5 more meters to go. He could hear the loud raspy nreathing of the demon right behind hime. What was wrong with the villagers? Did they not notice this?
2 meters now.
He was just closing in to the mountain, and he started concentrating chakra in his feet when he heard the sound of the demon's deep breathing once again. Shit...Rai took his last jump, adding more energy to make to the mountain and spun round in the air, weaving a hand seal .
Katon: Komakai Kaki no Jutsu !
Rai spewed out a small fire ball the size of a baseball out of his mouth. He knew that this wouldn't do much damage but it would buy him some time. He watched as the little fireball entered the mouth of Kayari. She simply smiled and......SPAT IT OUT!!! Atleast, it stopped her from firing more teeth he thought, still feeling the intense pain of the gash on his cheek.
The diversion had only taken a feew seconds, and in two more seconds, Rai was already on the side of the mountain, chakra focused on his feet.He started moving backwards, still facing Kayari that was on the spot he was on seconds ago. As he moved backwards, he he going higher and higher up the mountain, focusing both his fire and earth chakra to stir up. This process would result in lava natured chakra being created in him. He had a very risky plan, and a new jutsu in mind. It wouldn't be very difficult to initiate as the process was basically the same as his small fire ball technique, just a few things where significantly different. This jutsu was a restraining or binding jutsu he was going formulate, manipulating the firmness of molten rock when solidified.
Kayari started widening her mouth again, getting ready to spew out teeth bullets. Rai hadn't finished setting his lava natured chakra yet, and he couldnt use any other jutsu as it would confuse the mixing process. Focusing fire natured chakra on his left hand, and earth natured chakra on his right, he clapped his hands together, speeding up the mxing process. He would have to initiate this jutsu, the same way he performed the Earth Shore Return jutsu: by extending his chakra to the ground. Since he already got the hang of it with the doton jutsu, it wouldn't be difficult actually getting the lava out of the ground.
The demon started spweing a swarm of teeth, not giving Rai enough time to thoroughly plan out how exactly he was going to trap her. She was roughly 6 meters below him but the teeth passed him in milliseconds. Swiftly, he pressed his fit to the ground, and backflipped on the side of the mountain, hands still clapped together. While airbourne, he coul hear the teeth zoom past him, one going through his hair without coming in contact with his scalp. The barrage stopped before he landed back on the side of the mountain. Once his fit touched the ground, he yet again focused chakra on his feet to stay on the mountain ,this was basically the only thing he could do with his chakra that wouldn't interfere with the process, and he crouched, waiting for Kayari to come close enough.

She was closing in fast, she hadn't even bothered to shoot out any more projectiles....Maybe she thinks she's got me? Rai just smiled to himself as he was waiting for his opponent. She had no idea what she was entering into.
4 meters.
Rai started thinking about his jutsu and how effective it would be. He could feel the reaction in his two hands, the two chakra natures forming to make a new one. He was just waiting patiently, for the right moment to come. He knew that he would have performed the jutsu from a maximum of 10 meters, but he wanted it to be much more closer as this was his first time rying it and there was no room for mistakes at the moment. It was supposed to be a surprise.Kayari wouldn't see it coming at all.
3 meters.
Back at the academy, Kayari had been a skilled student, even at her age. She was the youngest out of everyone but she outshone every single person in their class. When they became Genin, she had chosen just one specialisation to excel in. She had said that it complemented her ability to persuade people and the power she got from her inner demon further made this specialisation suit her perfectly. Rai dearched the deepest vaults of his brain, trying to remember what that specialisation was. Then it hit him. It all makes sense now! She had chosen....
2 meters.
She was now in range and Rai had to act fast. Quickly seperating his hands, he slammed them, rather melodramatically, on the floor, eyes still on Kayari.
"Lava Style: Imprison!"
He felt the warm chakra flow out of him, fir from his left, earth from his right. He closed his eyes and imagined a lava geyser emerging from the side of the mountain, the lava advancing towards Kayari. he remembered the book he had read concerning training new jutsu. This was the last and most important step in learning jutsu: imagination. According to the book,it was the most important factor in creating new jutsu. As he opened his eyes, he heard the rumbling of the side of the mountain. Kayari had also heard the noise as she had stopped 1.5 meters away from Raishi, confusion on her face. Rai was getting scared as nothing had happened aside from the noise. Seconds passed, the she started smiling at him again, approaching him slowly. A thought then came to his mind. This was a mountain! It would be harder for the lava to emerge. He gave Kayari a smile back.
At that momeent, the geyser emerged from the ground, with magnificent force, erupting with a diameter of about 2 meters. Kayari's face was no of total shock and she tried to run back. Unfortunately, she was already too close, and the lava had already advanced to her feet. Rai made sure to add a little more of Earth natured chakra as the lava went up the body of Kayari so her body wouldn't get burnt.
About 10 seconds after the eruption, the lava had completely engulfed Kayari and was now dried up totally, leaving her trapped inside. He removed his hands from the floor and stood up straight, wiping the sweat off his face. He had actually done it. He had learned two new jutsu in one day, and had trapped a potential threat to the village and its villagers.

Raishi blinked the sweat out of his eyes and when he opened his eyes, he nearly fainted. First of all, the pain that was on his cheek, was gone. Vanished. Like magic. He was back up the building he had first spotted Kayari from, and rigt in front of him was Kayari dazzling a smile, looking as beautiful as ever. The initial stump he had made training his doton jutsu was there, and  his shirt and flak jacket, were resting on it. He was taken aback to see there on the stump, was a human sized figure, made from what looked like...volcanic rock? About the same size as Kayari. Raishi couldnt help but smile.
"You were always brilliant in genjutsu, being your only specialisation"
"Well what can I say?? Its a gift...I even recently started embezzling in taijutsu"
She talked in a playful tone and her smile seemed to brighten. It all made sense to Rai now. Why no other villager had spotted the demon but her, why the demon actually didnt fatally injure him despite the fact that it had the power to. He was under the strong spell of one of Kayari's genjutsu. She was amazing.
"When was it? That I was under the spell?"
She laughed a little to herself.
"The moment you saw my face darling. You lookked like you were training so I decided to help out"
Rai chuckled to himself. She had always wanted to bring out the best in him at the academy even when they were Genin, making him train all the time. Then there was a time when she had just disappeared, like nobody had a memory of her at all.
"So what now Kayari?"
"Now, I disappear once more. We shall see another time Raishi but for now, you will forget about seeing me today. All you did today was train until you mastered the two  jutsu. You even mastered the lava style one so well, that you made a human sized figurine out of it"
The more she talked, the more it seemed like a dream to Raishi, his eyes getting heavier and heavier. He felt the weight of his body get more and more until he couldnt hold himself any longer. He was soud asleep before he touched the ground.

Ten minutes later, he woke up. I must have falling asleep after training...making a figurine is hard work!. He stood up and walked over to the stump, smiling at his first attempt. He picked up his shirt and wore it, then the flack jacket. Today had been a long and uneventful day, but atleast he now had two new jutsu in his arsenal! picking up his figuring, carrying it with both hands, he jumped off the edge off the building, walking back home casually, for a heavy dinner.
