The sky had a few clouds, giving the air a nice cool, but slightly heated feel due to how high the sun had risen. The wind would kick up gusts now and then, bringing leaves upon the gentle breeze to a new home upon the ground or rooves of homes. There were quite a few people enjoying the day, hustling and bustling to and fro in the trade district. The village gates slowly opened, allowing a newcomer with silver spiky hair and emerald hues to step through. He wore black pants and a black jacket with the buttons and zippers undone to show a white tee shirt underneath. As he stepped into the village he adjusted the backpack straps he wore and straightened the black headband on his forehead in lieu of a hitai-ate. The young man pulled a small black notebook from his pocket and undid the string around the button holding it closed. He'd open it as he walked forward, quietly reading one of the pages, following a well trekked path towards the trade district.

The page Kizashi was reading detailed a house near the old Uchiha compound somewhere in the village. If he wanted to understand his former teacher and someday find his wherabouts, Kizashi would have to find his way to the compound and get into the house. The book detailed where the key was hidden, but not the exact method of reaching such a place in a large sprawling village.
Kizashi sighed and closed the book, placing it back in his pocket, figuring he'd simply have to ask someone around how to reach where he was going.

That left his mind when he noticed the familiar sound of chirps and other animal noises. His heart began to race as he turned to the source of the sound, finding a pet shop not too far from his position. With a wide smile he rushed towards the shop, pushing in through the doors. He wondered if, possibly they'd- Yes! He ran over to a set of cages like a kid excited in a candy store, finding what he'd been searching for: Ravens. They were scarce if they existed at all in the land of wind but he found them here, in the village hidden in the leaves! The shopkeeper, a kindly old man, waddled over to him. "D'ye happen ta have a male and female raven? I've come a long way ter sort some business but we don't have this type of avian around my village." He quietly waited for the shopkeeper to answer, softly stroking one of the ravens through the cage bars.

Chiaki had landed herself in the middle of the square and was looking for a pet, she had been shopping for one for days now, and she had no idea what she would buy. She thought that a nice cat pet would be a good start, because she was seldom home, but the cat cafe called to her every evening and she couldn't stay away from being a cheating woman on a cat if she had one. Dogs were too needy for her to be able to keep up with them. She sighed, parrots would only keep her up at night, and so would all the other birds, and anyone who kept fish was boring.

Walking into the pet shop, she pushed open the door, looking at all of the pets there. It was an exotic pet shop, they had turtles, toads, even smaller versions of what would become huge cats, such as tigers, leopards.... She looked at one of the tigers and it hissed at her before rolling on its belly and showing her kitty eyes, "Yeah, probably not you." She nodded to herself. She looked around the room once more, finding a youth in the shop, not much younger than herself. He had on a black outfit, which didn't at all mesh with her sunny yellow dress that she had decided to wear that day, her dark blue hair pulled back with a bright yellow headband. Her forehead protector was faced the wrong way, as she wore it always, with the insignia on the back of it. She tilted her head lazily to the side, sizing him up.

Perhaps a genin, perhaps a chuunin? But at his age, he would be formidable indeed, she thought that, no matter his rank, he would probably be able to take her for a ride with his skills in battle. Perhaps she could cut her teeth on him, see how her ninja skills were playing out. And if she lost, perhaps she could buy him a meal.

Sauntering to his side, she tilted her head and looked at the ravens. And intelligent bird, to be sure, and she supposed they would be a good pet. She didn't see them getting any bigger than they were though, so scratch that for a pet for her. She grumbled. She didn't want to keep an otter as a pet, as they were her friends, her companions. Not to be mistaken for her pet. She shook her head, no, it wouldn't work.

"Looking at getting a raven?"
She asked, interjecting before the shopkeep could, but then she looked between the two, growing red and cleared her throat.

"Oh I uh, I am sorry, you go right ahead!"
She waved her hands in front of her and laughed, an uncomfortable noise and then buttoned her lips, biting them. Her eyes went wide with embarrassment, and if she weren't sure that it wasn't happening, she could almost feel the steam coming out of her head.

The sky is dappled by the clouds, a beauty over his lonesome. So Xion rested on his back and let his eyes gaze upward, enjoying the nothing that was everything. The heat hitting his skin through his mesh top.

He wondered if anyone noticed how pretty the sky was today, how the blue was bright and soft all at once. He wondered if they saw the serenity of the clouds that sailed by, gently passing on toward a place the wind wishes them to reach. If they let their eyes rest upon their white tops and follow the infinite greys that blend so harmoniously with one another, almost bluish. He liked to make shapes out of the clouds, pareidolia, as he did, imagined them to be Beluga whales swimming through a clean ocean, a happy family, singing, playing. If they did, he’d hope they felt at least a little of what he feels, a calm sense of awe as warm as sunny rays. Feeling a tingle in their fingers and heightened senses, the heady aroma of blooms and the subtle movement of leaves, the way light reflects from both foliage and feathers. For when he tunes in to these subtle and many pleasures, these everyday wonders, nature gives to him a quiet joy... and in that moment he is as happy as any queen or king has ever been.

He peered his head to the side down at the busy market street and noticed a familiar sunflower dress and buckled shoes. His torso rose. Is that Chiaki, he thought.

He ambled along the rooftops trying to get a good idea of where she was headed. She disappeared behind two doors of some animal re-seller. She liked animals? She was a medical kunoichi, so he needn’t be so surprised. A line of work like that must make one appreciate all kinds of life, he’d think.

He had social graces, but not having any considerably tolerable people around him, a friend (if she was even okay being called that) for the last decade, he couldn’t figure out if he was acting appropriately or not. Oh well. He approached the door with both hands pressed against the glass. She was scanning the wares of the shop, then she approached a boy and striked a conversation. She was the sociable type. He’d never seen him before. He could perhaps be, a coworker of hers. A brother even? The shop owner looked past them and at the door where he could see someone peeking inside. His forehead wrinkled with worry. As soon as Xion noticed he’d been spotted, he bowled out of sight, hiding just to the side of door frame, looking straight ahead. He stalked from behind his cover, not intimidated yet still his heart was in his mouth.
