Verdandi

D-rank
Mission name: Operation: Guillotine
Mission rank: C
Objective: Assassinate a Bandit Leader.
Location: Excavation Site
Reward: 300 ryo + 3EP
Mission Description: “Many of the Bandit tribes are working together now, and that seems to be an issue… Where many of our high profile ninja have been identified by the enemies’ propaganda machine, many of you are without face. We’d have you group up in a team of 3 and infiltrate the enemy hot zone and assassinate one of the bandit tribe leaders in such a manner suspicion is placed upon a rival tribe. It may take some work, but if we can’t have a united front, we can’t allow them to have theirs. ”
Mission Details: The ninja will team up with 2 other PC’s (or NPC’s from the chuunin from the kiri NPC section.) to infiltrate the Rogue camp disguised as one of their own. You’ll need to gather information on a bandit camp in order to discover potential past rivalries and then exploit that rivalry to stage an assassination that implicates their rivals. The bandit leaders are B rank ninja with B-1 stats as well as B rank ninjutsu and bukijutsu with all N/A library techniques, but not academy jutsu. Additionally they carry various crude weapons of varying ranks.

Verdandi

Verdandi

D-rank
Verdandi casually picked up a mission that was labelled in search for 3 willing Chuunin infiltrators. She wanted to do the whole thing alone considering her own rank, but mission headquarters insisted that she has to take at least another soul along to get the whole concept of it correctly. Since Verd didn't mind a sidekick she however thought that it might be a good moment to train one of the Genin's in this sense. Verdandi would be allocated with an independent help that seemed to not be aligned directly with one of the villages. Which was interesting in its way. Considering that she didn't have a merc apprentice in quite some time. The man in question was considered to be a useful asset to Kiri would be potentially drafted in for further errand jobs as long as he remained on their payroll. Directly affiliated with Kiri or hired to work for them made no specific difference to Verdandi as she wasn't the overly patriotic type. She was, in her own way a Yuki-nin anyway. Despite that no one would ever dare to approve of such a thing since the fall of Yukigakure and the clear assimilation of their country into Kiri territory. Verd mostly did these jobs to make auntie Ayakashi happy. She knew that Verd's effort could occasionally put a smile on the Mizukage's face and that alone was often reason enough for Verd to put a lot of effort in her work.

Verdandi picked up the basic intel, they would both get outfits of standard bandits and identities of recently abducted ones by Kiri. Since they were only missing for a day in their respective camps the two of them would have reasonable claims to return and talk about their success in whatever raids they could come up with. However, the intel they had about those identities was limited and engaging with people that actually knew those bandits or especially were familiar with their true voices could proof somewhat uncomfortable. Verdandi accepted and took the garments of both the female bandit she was to impersonate and the ones for the big guy she was to meet. The files explaining their personas were extremely limited. Obviously, these disguises would only be meant to get entry into the camp so the actual espionage could begin there. Verdandi made her way slowly to the forward oasis near the bandit camp. She was supposed to meet her helper right there and was ready to get into action. She would slowly slip into the bandit garments and neatly sealed her own clothes into a scroll. Trying to study the facial patterns of her first persona she was supposed to imitate. The bandit girl on the pic was by far no beauty and the scars on her face made clear she used to be a mean ass bitch that wouldn't take crap from any of the boys there. Verd would make sure to try and prepare herself to be able to act that role appropriately.

Once her addition would arrive. Verdandi would make herself known by showing her Kiri-nin badge. For this mission she had left her pet at home as a large polar bear was certain to draw too much attention on an infiltration mission. Verd mustered the Genin from head to toe. Probably giving off a slightly weird appearance. She didn't transform into the ugly bandit chick yet but her garments surely gave away a rather cheap and dirty look. Verd quickly lifted the fabrics he was to wear and dropped it in his palms.

"Pleased to meet you. My name is Verdandi Yuki, I'm a young Kiri Jounin that will guide you through this mission. I'm sure you have been instructed already about the basics of this whole ordeal but I will summarize my latest intel from HQ. We are to use these disguises to gain primary entrance to the bandit camp. Find a location to set up our own infiltration base. Gain intel on a rival bandit camp and then make our way to the bandit leader. Assassinate him and manage to frame the rival bandits. If we were to be revealed or don't have a clean escape, this mission will fail."

Verdandi gently bowed as it was custom for the princess. If her companion would get ready, slip into the persona on Verd's intel file and dress accordingly, the both of them could get going and head into the bandit camp. Gaining entrance would require some skilled acting but technically it should be quite easy. Before they moved off, after some casual exchange, Verd would of course use the transformation technique as well to be prepared for the move. They could still talk and exchange pleasantries on their way there, after all it was still a bit of a walk towards the bandit camp.

Zu hated being in Sunagkure more than most. It was tied towards his own personal moment of cowardice. Zu tried to give thought of the people he had met here before the disaster took place. His mind would race between each one trying to wonder what their lives would be like if they were alive. Those type of thoughts however, would need to be put on hold for another important matter. Zu scratched his stomach and leaned his head back.Damn, I need to eat soon before something bad happens..., he thought while getting up from a rock he was laying on. Despite the horribly hot weather, Zu was enjoying his solitude even if it was disturbed by natural reasons. The day prior, he had made his way towards a camp that offered him a mission that would pay decently well. Well enough that is to at least eat for a few weeks. The type of mission they offered was not towards his liking though. He was to infiltrate a camp with others who have taken on this mission. Who they were or what they were like were not given in the small briefing. While the start had interest provoking things, what he heard next was slightly disappointing. The team and he were to infiltrate under disguise and cause the rival tribes to dispute with one another in hopes to frame one for their assassination on the either leader. This would indubitably be useful, but to Zu he would rather just kill them all. Though that seemed to not be part of the bargain in the payment as when he asked why not just exterminate them, he was met with "that will cause you to fail and not get paid". In his hands he held the clothes of their members. Such constricting things would be a nuisance to say the least. Still, he needed to eat and was told to meet up near some oasis. Zu tore off the shirt he had been wearing as he walked towards where he was told the spot was at. It had served its purpose for long enough anyways.

When Zu saw the oasis, he could see a feminine figure in it. He gave a wave but was unsure if she saw and somewhat quickly jogged as to seem a little more urgent than how lackadaisical he was just being. His partner was already dressed in clothes that did not match her current body stances. At this moment, Zu remember hearing that this person was of quite the rank. He would have to be nice in hopes that she did not see through his anger. With a flash of a smile and a small bow when she spoke, he waited for her to finish before speaking again after obtaining his set of clothes before he would speak in return.

"Pleasure to meet you Verdandi Yuki from Kirigakure, my name is Zu.His talking stopped as a small laugh erupted from him before he spoke again, "I do not quite have the surname and place as you do, so I hope this shall do for now."

Zu would then put on the clothes. First, he put on the top as since he was shirtless. It was a dreaded mix of black and tanned cloth that felt a little to tight on him. The restrain on the top half made him worried for the bottom half. After self perseverance, Zu took off his pants to put on the tribes clothes. Just has he thought, they were just as tight. If Zu was more civil, he would have cared about changing in front of someone, especially since was always commando. To Zu the only thing that mattered to him was getting paid so he could eat. Even should Verdandi speak the words would not come to his ears as he was thinking of the amazing food he would buy. Once he was fitted and took a stretch, he looked at the information given on the bandit. He was not told much about his person's identity aside from his drinking ability. Drinking was not his strong suit, but he did have some practice with his sensei, Syekren. Aside from the drinking ability, with the mask on and fitted Zu was around the same size as who he was impersonating, maybe a little larger and could pull it off...maybe

He would sigh a little before speaking to his partner in a friendly tone, but it seemed as if just now he was acknowledging her presence since he started getting changed. "I will have to put my faith in you on this one. These types of things are not my specialty. Just tell me what you need if you do need me, otherwise, I will act on my own accord." After that sentence, he thought of what he would do if he could. Probably kill as many as he could, taking food in a bag while he did it. Things like that he was used to, but sneaking in and acting like them was preposterous for him to think about before he decided to do this mission as his hunting recently has been scarce. Zu would follow Verdandi towards the spot, hoping to learn more from her and possibly about her. Any knowledge is useful. She used a technique, one he luckily did not have to worry about.

Verdandi greeted the shirtless man and made big eyes as he started to strip before her. Verd was used to many kinds of introductions but this had been a first timer. His extremities would casually float in the wind leaving Verdandi unsure if she should be impressed, moving into a facepalm or scold him for being lewd. Verd took a deep breath. Her partner seemed to be more of an oddball than she was used to. The bandit clothes barely fit but did with some stretching. Verd checked the mission file again and noticed the drunkard part. She pulled one of her many scrolls forth and unsealed a thick bottle of rum she had claimed in an earlier mission from some pirates. Before she actually handed it to him, Verd umplopped the top and took a sip, then another one, then stared at the guy getting reminded of him just getting naked and hence she too one more for the team. Ultimately handing the bottle to him a and wiping the remaining rum from her lips. Verd nodded and slowly they made their way forward towards the camp. Verdandi remembered that she was supposed to be though bitch. She knacked her neck and went forth to stand right in front of the guard at the entrance. Verdandi would glare at him. The guy already pissing himself, metaphorically spoken. She had transformed into the scar ridden face of the female bandit. Her appearance donning a large set of bonkers but otherwise not very appealing.

"You fuck'n little worm see me comin and ain't even open that fuck'n door yet. I swear to jack's beard if ya dun open this shithole for me right now I'm gonna slice yer fack'n balls off you worthless maggot."

Verd's spit and rum covered breath would gracefully splat against the guards face. He was shaking so badly that he almost lost grip of his spear and then tried to somehow avoid Verdandi as she was basically pushing her face in his direction. Bending his back to move around her while she kept staring at him with a mean face. Running quickly to the large watchtower behind them and screaming at another guy inside before pulling some switches and triggers. Steam would rush from some pipelines and the large entranceway opened wide up before them. What Verdandi could see behind these gates was pure horror for her. Drunken ugly people, walking around half naked, covered in dirt. Tattoo's everywhere. Wenches filling alcohol into the bandits faces. Getting molested in return. Prostitutes seemingly everywhere. Ryo being exchanged at low rates for disgusting trades. A ton of food everywhere. The least looking piece of filth down the street seemed to be some sort of restaurant. Verdandi widely avoided the standard tavern as the stench coming from within was driving her crazy. She made sure that her companion was ready and with her. Stepping into the restaurant there was a guy with a funny moustache. He donned a cook's hat and was serving some other mean looking guests.

"Alright, if there's anyone in this shit hole with a certain rank we need to take them out and get into their persona's. Our current appearances were but made to get us inside. We need new identities with proper rank to get to the captain. If you can cause for a distraction I can organize us some new bodies fitting the description."

Verd would shortly gaze at the tavern next to the restaurant. Then back to Zu. It was obvious where she expected him to go and cause a ruckus. In a slightly rude way Verd would grin widely and then close the door of the fancy bandit restaurant behind her. However, she wasn't going to dine here. She could care less about food right now. Verd just casually sat down very close to the two high ranked ones. Their position clearly displayed by various symbols and golden additions to their outfits. They were eating some good meat while the rest of the pub was down with whatever rat food they had in storage. Verdandi would casually listen, eavesdrop on their conversations. She'd mentally take some notes. Some tiny information would be enough to fake their personalities again. After all, not unlike before, they just had to advance deeper into the camp and not have the ultimately perfect disguise. Verd nodded to herself while getting some smack talk about whores they are chatting about and how they despise this and that person for whatever reasons.

It wouldn't take all too long until Zu would probably get to finish his 'assignment' and start a ruckus in the tavern. Verdandi would neatly exhale some frost from her lips to freeze the two officer's feet to the ground and their asses to the chairs they were sitting on. While the rest of the restaurant would soon leave the premises to go over to the tavern and join the commotion. Verdandi's targets would squeal and yell at each other as they felt 'glued' to their seats. Swearing about what the fuck was going on. Only to be shut up be Verdandi whim eventually drew her blade and just casually cut through their throats quickly. Verd would make sure no one had seen her. Even the cook with the stache had left probably for the kitchen. Verd had to be quick. One by one she tugged the corpses with the chair into the back chamber and then casually picked up a mop nearby to wash away the bigger splats of blood on the floor. The commotion raised by Zu was still on-going. Verd moved in the backroom to undress her new corpse friends and take all their refined accessories that would show off the proper rank Verd and Zu needed to get deeper into the camp. Verd started to change herself and transform her appearance to fit the new persona. Waiting for Zu to pop up and join her to take his own new identity.

There was an odder sense of her that took Zu by surprise. He was unsure why she acted the way she did when he undressed with a sigh and even moving her hand to her face. There was the uncertainty that threw Zu's thoughts into a spiral though he would not have time to dwell on such a thing. From a pile of scrolls, she caused a bottle to appear out of thin air. Soon after, she took a drink from it before handing it to Zu. He would have to reach out and accept, but was worried what it was. After a small sniff, he realized it was rum. He had once had rum before with his sensei. A small spark came from within, causing him to drink the remaining amount. Not knowing what to do with the bottle, he just sat it on a nearby rock and if she wanted it she could have it though she just nodded and got more into character. Zu walked next to her to keep pace, unsure how he should act as this guy. Verdandi's performance was quite good and it actually got them through the gates. Her tough demeanor seemed to win over their checking of them. This would work in Zu's favor as he would not have to do anything but walk with her. Together they made it through without a single bit of a problem. That would be quite the mind easing thing for right now. Inside there were more people than Zu wanted to be around. There were small buildings erected that seemed tattered or worn down. Zu's eyes wandered towards the walls as they seemed newer which made him think they took control of this spot. Seeing how they all acted, it would be no surprise if that were the case. There were oddities around him that he had usually only seen in the poorer and more populated regions of Sunagakure. Between the smells and the sights, the place was already negatively affecting his mental health.  This caused Zu to stand a bit straighter, causing his muscles to show more definition. He had seen animals make themselves appear larger to ward off potential attackers. With luck it would at least keep people away from him for the time being, though they seemed to steer clear of Verdandi. The mask he was wearing made it rough to breath any sort of real air and if he did, it was not pleasant to say the least. He followed her towards the least ran down place that was also the busiest. Judging from how it looks as apposed to the rest, it was the place to be. Verdandi stepped through the door of the restaurant and quickly told him her next plan. All he could do was nod, but it just worked in his favor that causing distractions was oddly becoming more fun each day. Hopefully I can control myself enough to not cause chaos... he thought to himself without showing any body expression of hesitation on his duty.

Her gaze would make contact with a shabby looking tavern that had a horrendous smell emanating  from it. He would meet her gaze back, but could not express his disgust with this mask on. Tch was the only noise he made as the doors closed quickly after Verdandi grinned from ear to ear at him. When the doors closed he took a deep breath. Finally, he was alone again. Zu turned around and made his way towards the tavern each step seeming to slow down his pace as he approached. With each inhale the smell seemed... revolting to say the least. The mask did what it could to cover up the smell, but not well enough. Zu took what he thought would be his last clean breath before walking into the doors. His back stood straight and he almost seemed to have barged in. Time to pick a fight

Inside looked better, but the smell was thick and seemed to almost stick to him. Men were drinking to their fill, others throwing up on the floor while men laughed at that person. Women were more abundant here, though it seemed most worked here. Their clothes were torn, faces seemed like they held old bruises in them. Zu was naturally quite tall, but even then the people were so caught up in their escape from chaos and indulging in human desires that Zu seemed to go unnoticed. He made his way through the groups of people to the bar before sitting down, taking a deep breath. The bartender walked over toward him and looked at him as if saying buy or get out. Feeling around in his pockets, he was in luck. There was some ryo stashed away in the disguise. Perhaps the people who got these clothes did not properly scavenged what was in them due to being rushed. Small luck helped in times like this. Zu took out some of it and put it on the counter with a rather loud slam as if validating his right to be there.. The man then took it, and poured from a bottle behind him not even asking what Zu wanted. Seemed it was a take what you are going to get or get nothing at all. Lifting his mask a little, he drank it all in one swallow. The taste was horrible to say the least not to mention it was quite potent. Zu slammed the glass down and let out a sigh of pain as it made its way towards his stomach. He would surely feel this soon and tomorrow coming out. Judging from the time, he needed to cause the commotion soon hoping that Verdandi was in position. Getting up from the stool, he would need to cause a group fight in here. He would have to target a small group in hopes that it will flood to bigger ones if accidents happen. He saw a group of three men being rowdy, one moved away from the group towards the bar in an attempt to get more drinks. This man would be Zu's target to help him cause a scene. Zu moved quickly and purposely shoulder checked the man hard knocking him back quite a bit almost running into a table. The man caught himself and angrily shoved Zu who seemed to hardly budge before screaming at him, "Oy, whats yer fucking problem bitch!" When the man was finished, Zu positioned himself so that when he hit him he would fly into a group's table of some rather unfriendly folk. If the people who were with him were actually his friends then this could work in his favor. Zu punched the man who was pretty smaller than him as hard as he could as he did exactly what he wanted. The group angry that their drinks were not gone went to attack the man that fell into them, and just like that his friends sprung into action. Before long, the chaos from the small fight that broke out between two groups, turned into a bar brawl. Drinks were flying almost as much as people had it not been for true alcoholics. Blood started to spill along the floor alongside vomit while Zu fought his way out. With the assuming chaos more from outside flooding in to try and stop and some of those people who sought peace in the chaos lost patience and joined in the mayhem. After a few minutes of pure barging through people Zu broke out of the tavern mostly unharmed aside from a few bruises on his sides and arms. Finally fresh air...

Zu made his way quickly towards the restaurant, opening to look for Verdandi. The sweet taste of slightly better air was more than enough to keep him going at this rate. The place seemed like a ghost town as the commotion drew more and more people towards it. For some humans curiosity towards events made their eyes focus elsewhere. It would only be a matter of time before the tavern would calm down and people would resume their previous activities to talk about the current event and what they saw during it. Seeing the empty room, he decided to check and that was when he ran into Verdandi again. She was already dressed and ready for the next part. He looked at the bodies, both bare but one with clothes beside him that was around Zu's size even more so than what he was currently wearing. Time was even more of the essence than before. Without a word, he walked past her to pick up the clothes but pasued momentarily. His consideration took the better of him this time as he just grabbed them before chuckling internally for a second and walked into the other room without a word. In a quick change, he hid the old clothes and moved back towards Verdandi. "What now?", he looked at the corpse of the person whose clothes he took and this time changed to match the other persona that Verdandi had out. He was not used to using Transformation Technique (変化の術 ~ Henge no Jutsu). Zu had tried a few times outside of this, but normally did not do so well. For him, he could not look that bad in front of Verdandi considering her current outlook on him. Zu would take a small breath before using it and it worked it wonderful success. If it were not for the fact Verdandi was here, he probably would have jumped for joy. His eyes seemed somewhat brighter as he waited for Verdandi to explain the next phase. With hope to Zu, it would cause a bit of chaos.

Verdandi wasn't sure why he would look so hyped from doing his transformation but shrugged it off. At least he didn't went full commando naked this time. However, he did time the distraction at the bar perfectly in favour of Verdandi's move on the two ranked criminals. She only figured that if she could murder them that easily, the boss shouldn't be that much of a threat to her A-Ranked blade either. She scratched her head. It wasn't time to get in over her head though. Getting too cocky always gets you in trouble. Verd finished her transformation up and picked up the scythe like looking blade she could find on one of them. Keeping it sheathed but held in her palm instead of fixing it to her clothing. As if showing off to anyone around them that she was trigger-happy to spring that sword from its sheath and cut someone down. As they left the restaurant, the reaction of the crowd on the street was clear. They were badass motherfuckers. Or at least those two dead guys used to be. Verd had stuffed their corpses behind some of the restaurants food storage barrels. Should take a while until they get found. While Zu followed. Verdandi had a very distinctive idea where to go. She just had no idea where the location was in terms of directions. After all she had been eavesdropping on her targets for quite a while as she waited for Zu to do his move.

Verdandi had to confirm her intel first. Marching through the streets to ask around who's currently 'in town'. What their relation was. Always using previous knowledge, she acquired to get more intel from the next. Never staying too long with the same type of guy around. She would probably spend a good hour with Zu impatiently tailing her just to gather up on current info's required. After the time was over. She realized that there should be around six diplomats from other bandit groups here. She had all their names. Potential situation and relation with the boss Verd and Zu were supposed to kill and hence had a vague picture over whom would be useful and juicy to get involved with.

Verd walked up to a random drunken bandit and punched him in the guts. "Listen you little shit. I need to get to the visitor's tent. Remind me where it is and I'm not gonna try and see how deep my sword fits in ya fuckin throat…" Once again. Not too different as at the entrance gate. The bandit almost pissed himself and quickly showed her the way. She probably had to do something like this a few more times to actually get it right as the bandit camp seemed quite expansive in size. Once she arrived there, Verd could see another restricted zone within. "Alright. So, here's the plan. There's a huge bunch of diplomats from other bandit groups here. But there's also the son of the golden suns here. Which is perfect. The suns are bigger group than this one. Don't really know much about the others. So, we're going to kill this guy because we need his identity in our collection of faces." That being said. Zu was informed what the goal was. They moved inside. The rank-plates working as intended as the guards just let them pass into the place. Verd moved ahead. The way Zu was huge as fuck even in his disguised persona it'd probably look like he was some sort of guardian for her. Verd liked that idea. It'd mean that Zu potentially had the chance to do the next move while Verd would take the job of distraction this time. She nodded. But first. Got to scout out the place.

After what seemed like an hour of walking around the camp. Verdandi kept an eye on the golden suns tent. She had to make sure the target in question would be out of reach from his guards for a minute. Then again, she also kept mapping the place mentally to get an idea of it. Once the snobby looking bandit prince emerged from his tent to look all shiny and stuff. Verd would turn around to Zu and point at the prince's tent. "I'll distract the guy, I'm giving you fifteen minutes to kill the guards. When I return to the tent with him we'll take him down and get our final key ready. After this, we'll head to the boss." That being said. Verdandi left Zu to move and do his own assignment again. She would use the capabilities of the transformation technique to adjust her appearance into a mixture of the bandit lady but with less scars, more curves and a touch of real Verdandi's natural saucy prettiness. Moving her booty to the prince he was quickly enthralled to for once see a creature that was neither a prostitute nor an absolutely ugly wench. Verd would introduce herself as a new member of the boss's staff. Getting all flirty with him and doing that little teen girl giggle that implied the whole 'oh she is so into you' kind of expression. Verd however didn't like it when they got gropey and touchy.

She made sure to keep his hands away from her in a most possibly flirty way without getting the massive urge to kill him. Once the time was up. She could only hope Zu did his work. Moving into the tent to see if the guards had been taken care of. Either way. Verd would grab him by throat and scalp. Pull him back down to the ground and slice through his throat. She didn't want the blood to spill on his clothes as they still needed those. Keeping him properly pinned while his panic stricken eyes stared at Verdandi whom casually held him down. Not long before the deed was done. The final figurine had been added to their cabinet. Verd would claim once again his clothes and slip into them. She tested her transformation a few times to see if she could get his face right. Verd knew that she still needed his body to stage the whole thing. Taking a sealing scroll to move his corpse into her 'locker' temporarily. Verd stood and looked all prince-like. Standing before Zu she tried to fake some male voices. It wasn't really good. She drank more alcohol and smoked one of the pipes in the tent to get that voice a bit rougher. Chuckling to herself. As it worked out enough to pass through a few gates like this. Zu would be asked to transform into one of the guards of the prince. Giving them the final setup.

"Alright. Last stage. We're going to move into the boss camp. You lead ahead. You speak for me. You make sure to tell them that the prince of the golden suns wants his audience with the boss. This is what we have been working for. If we get this last part right we can go home." She said tipping him off on his shoulder and obviously inhaling to get herself ready. "You ready to do this?" she asked and then when all was good she'd follow him promptly. Off past the gates of the visitor camp and on towards the captain's camp. Seeing how the guards of the bandit clan didn't really want one of the diplomats to just roam around at free will they would escort Verd and her 'guard' to the captain's camp.

Things seemed to be going mostly smooth for Zu for most of the part. He has been able to keep a calm composure and managed to pull off what Vedandi asked of him to do. It was no shock that she would keep up her side of what the plan was. There was an obvious sense of power difference between the two. There was an odd moment when she finished getting ready that she did not speak of what to do next. Instead, she moved without a word spoken leaving Zu to wonder what to do. All he could do now was follow her lead and mimic if needed. Upon leaving the restaurant to assume new identities. Her methodical planning was nice aside from the unknown step for now. She even managed to hide the bodies and cleaned up. Zu would have just killed them and left their bodies to cause more chaos and strife. Then again, that was not his mission. It did not take long for Zu to realize what she was up to next as she roamed through the crowds almost effortlessly to gather information. Unlike her, Zu was not so graceful in his following. Often, he would run into another causing a stare down until one of them walked away, usually the other person. In the case they did not move first, a quick and hard shoulder brush would warn the person. He felt an unusual sense of power during this. The problem during his tailing was that he was not the social person and others would often try to talk to him. If only all didn’t speak to him. From his right side a middle-aged man came up to him faster than Zu was ready for. His voice spoke friendly and as if the two had known each other from before. “There you are you. I like seeing clients well after such a brutal fight.” His arm wrapped around Zu’s body. He could not afford to act odd, he kept his muscles relaxed and paced his breathing. The liquor was helping him out tremendously on this part. The man’s voice became lower almost like a whisper. Shipment is on its way to Kirigakure once all this is over. Remember 500 ryo per head and it is first come first serve as always.” After his last word his gave Zu’s chest a pat with his other hand that was around him before walking off in a calm manner. Zu went to turn to get a better look upon him, but he seemed to vanish within the crowd. Business men like him are always trying to make money. What…That voice… I know that... A flash of memory came into focus as only pain and mud were remembered. His heart began to beat rapidly, and adrenaline was coursing. A fight or flight instinct momentarily took over him. No, damnit not now. His eyes looked around as if checking to see if anyone noticed his momentary lapse. No one did. When his eyes laid upon who Verdandi was, his heart seemed to ease a bit as he was reminded of what he was even doing here. He would just have to ignore that man and continue along his way for now. Zu made his way quickly closer towards Verdandi and each step towards her made it easier to focus. When he caught up, she seemed to be interrogating a drunken bandit. Her fist flew into the gut of him almost vomited his insides as he fell to his knees looking up. It was apparent that whoever the two of them were, were feared. Soon the drunkard regained his composure and showed them the way. After that was done, he stumbled away in fear gripping his bottle to swear to it before only large gulps were heard. It would be convenient that he would not remember any of this. Verdandi spoke to Zu of what she had come up with based on her intel. That was quite fortunate seeing as he got very little and would not mention of it as it seemed irrelevant. Once informed, he followed her lead and moved inside. Her pace was faster than his causing him to fall behind her. Her nod seemed unnerving as he did not know why. To him he took it as a sign to split up. He then saw her resume the previous method of gathering information. Slight eaves dropping while brushing through small and large groups. One would have to pick their targets to learn anything around here aside from the babble of nonsense between the drunkards. Soon Verdandi seemed to know what her next plan was and spoke to Zu so that just the two could hear. It seemed that it was tasked for him to kill the guards. Not something he was unused to but usually only for reasons. Such as making that one man get devoured by bugs and beasts for his cannibalism. He did not know their lives, but still… A man must eat and soon.

While Verdandi caught not only the attention of the prince, Zu did his best to move within the shadows and not be seen. He made his way inside to find them more laid back as if resting from being so tense. They did not notice him at first. There were two targets, one sitting in a chair leaned back on two legs while one was against the post relaxing with his eyes closed. Quickly and as quietly as he could he used Reflection Clone Jutsu (反射分身の術 ~ Hansha Bunshin no Jutsu) as he grabbed the one on the post by the throat cover his mouth and his clone did the same for the other. They thrashed as hard as they could and even attempted to grab a weapon but found themselves too slow. Zu and his clone’s hand squeezed breaking the windpipes soon after coming into contact. The clone seemed to finish his without any trouble, but the one Zu had taken a shot at him in his last moments, and Zu took the hit without flinching. Deep down it was his way of saying sorry in case they were not all sinister people. One thing he did not like to do was kill people who were genuinely good but in just the wrong situations. Looking into his eyes, he watched his life fade away and his body become limp. When the two were dead, had time to move the bodies a bit so they were not in the way. By the time he looked out, it seemed Verdandi was finished with her decoy and expected that Zu was done. While he did finish what he did, his heart lingered on killing sometimes as that could have just as easily been him had he not been born with what he had. Verdandi came and brought the prince into the tent by the scalp and throat to drag him inside. Zu could not help but to stand a little confident in what he had done as he looked at her. Effortlessly or perhaps impatiently, she killed him without giving him any time to possibly give information. If anything, that Zu had learned from this mission from Verdandi is that information is vital in mission where it is vaguely given. He would take heart to this lesson and use it later on in life. Still that being said, seeing her end his life like this made him question if the killing of him gave her a satisfaction feeling. Her methodical process though seemed to not cause blood to get everywhere. Soon she dressed and seemed to not mind that Zu was just feet away. He looked but only for a moment before realizing he should change as well and did so to alongside his clone. The two of them were going to be the guards which worked for him. The man he was changing into looked similar but with far more scars than Zu had. After he changed, he and his clone too transformed and looked at Verdandi who was also done. She did something with a scroll, but it was hard to make out. He had little knowledge in the fuuinjutsu department. Deep down it felt weird impersonating all these people. Deep down was it because he was being accepted by others in terms of fear towards who he was playing or was it because the feeling of pretending to be someone else was not far from how some memories felt to him. He could not think of that now and looked to Verdandi to distract him. She took a large hit of alcohol and smoked something that Zu had used to grow for others when he was younger. That smell always did annoy him. She spoke again to him saying that they were now in the prime spot to get their target. An almost sigh of relief swarmed him as he knew he needed to get out of here as soon as possible. He could not jeopardize his current partnership with Verdandi. If anything, he wanted to be her friend, but knew he probably should not think of such hope again. With a quick inhaling before exhaling as if preparing mentally she asked if he was ready. His mouth opened as if to say something, but he could not and closed it quickly. Instead he just nodded as if implying that he was ready. How could he tell her he needed to get out of here soon, how could anyone understand the frustration of unwelcomed anger. Zu and his clone hid the bodies best they could but knew they did not need much time and no one should be entering this tent aside from the prince and whom he brings. For now, they would have some time.

The three of them left the tent with Verdandi leading the way.  It was not long before a group of guards also escorted them towards the captain’s camp. It was obvious by how elaborate and convenient that it was owned by a captain. Everything else around here looked shabby to say the least compared to this one. Groups of people were outside of it and seemed to move out of the way as they made their way towards the tent. It was apparent that whoever Verdandi was, was the highest profile target they have acquired yet in here. Once they entered a beautiful fragrance entered Zu’s nose. Such delicious food was bringing an aroma that seemed to almost trance him but kept his composure.  Most would be gawking at the beautiful ladies in the room, but he was more interested in the food. He knew it must be quite amazing seeing the elaboration of this camp. There were not many people, mostly concubines, his two body guards near what appeared to be a throne, and a few advisors. The captain looked up from his indulgence of the ladies that were surrounding him as a serious look came to his face. The man was bald with many piercings and scars. His shirtless body that held the most scars seemed to be displayed as if a sign of what he has lived through. His head nodded slightly as if motioning everyone else to leave. There was important business to discuss it seemed between the captain and the prince.  One by one the ladies said their byes as the advisors bowed a little and left also following close behind the women now that they were not in his grasp. Now it was just the guards and the captain left aside from the people outside. Zu looked to Verdandi as if not trying to give any hint towards worry but did feel it in him, the rage. If they were to do anything it would have to be hopefully quiet because if the place got swarmed Zu would indubitably lose control and end up dying in this hell hole. He could not have that, but still gave faith towards what she had in store next. His heart seemed to beat against the clothes of another as he awaited what could be death or success.

Verdandi

Verdandi

D-rank
Verdandi had casually observed her partner during the mission. She wasn't sure what was haunting him but for a person with her perception it was obvious that something was making him feel terribly ill. None the less, he did his part of the job with seemingly perfect execution. His large body seemed to be of use for whatever he dared to try and accomplish as an assassin at least. Verd wasn't sure if he would be a good stealth ninja. But that had yet to be revealed. Young Genin such as himself were yet unaware of their real potential. Verdandi knew this, she had not been much different. Not long ago she would have never been able to walk through the shadows of people. Now she could become one with the darkness and easily bypass endless numbers of security measures. Since Zu did his job quite outstandingly well. The mission was proceeding as per plan and Verdandi would find herself in the captain's room. Wenches and prostitutes would soon leave them. The harem of the bald man hopefully won't miss their patron too much. Verd was certain, one of the sergeants of the bandits would soon step up and claim the throne. Hopefully it'd cause some inner conflict. A self-destructing bandit clan was always the most joyful idea she could possibly think of. Verd would casually talk in her low, roughed up voice whenever asked. But it was clear that she wasn't going to linger and risk it that her voice was figured not to match the prince exactly.

There's only so much alcohol, tobacco and some talent could do to adjust one's depth and pitch. Verdandi was prepared for this moment. In her form as the prince she quickly suggested for the two of them to go and take a walk. The captain seemed reluctant at first, especially since he didn't like lifting his ass from his bandit throne. Verdandi would give Zu a wink. "You stay here." She said. Then giving the guards in the room a certain glare. Her eyes wandering between these guards and Zu. Before she moved as prince next to the captain and would start to disappear in the tent's hallway that lead to the next. If Zu already started or not was up to him. Verdandi had a rather specific plan how to work this thing out and to be frank, she wanted to make sure the killing blow would be dealt by the supposed prince and not his guards. Once Verdandi was in the adjacent tent and walking towards the exit of it. She would suddenly turn to the captain. Grab him. Punch him in the nuts and kick him into the chest so he'd be sent flying backwards out of the tent. Being alone and covered by the tent walls. Verdandi quickly formed the hand seals for shadow clones. Four of her own would raise from her back and rapidly rush into the previous room. Depending on how Zu was doing, they would join in on taking out the captain's personal guard.

While the clones and Zu were busy with them. Verdandi, as prince of the golden suns. Stepped from the tent and re-approached the captain. She could only hear his curses and questions as to why the fuck he was doing this. But Verdandi needed viewers. A lot of them. She grabbed the man, avoided a good three of his fist forwards to her face and chest. Lifted her leg and kicked him in an oddly flexible move. The horizontal kick hitting him right on the bald head. Before she could grab him by the neck and toss him further into the entrance valley. Soon some of his guards would come by. A lot of the visiting diplomats and messengers from the other Clans would glare at them. Watching how the prince of the seven suns jumped after the captain. Punching his fist into the captain's face until it started to become bloodied. Hitting his gut as well until he spit some blood. At last, the captain's guards arrived to grab on the 'prince' pulling him off their captain. "What are you doing? Are you mad?" they would scream. But Verdandi's martial arts skills were far far above theirs. Through her, the prince would now turn into a killing machine. Pulling one of the guards' swords from his sheath. Turning around. Slicing that very blade vertically up and down. Leaving the two guards that came for her with deep cuts in their arms. Screaming as they were bleeding heavily. Only to be kicked away into their guts one by one.

While Verdandi's real body was getting to town with the captain and the guards outside. Verdandi's clones would have, in the meantime. Slaughtered the personal guards of the captain. Emptying his main tent. Leaving Zu and the clones alone with the corpses. "Alright. We're almost done. We're going to do some extra damage while we are getting out of here. DO NOT concern yourself about my real self. I have to remain a little longer than you do. Just follow us. We'll guide you out of here." The clones would glare at each other. Zu and his own copy still properly disguised as the suns guards. Now asked to turn himself back into one of his previous bandit appearances and making his clone do something similar or disperse. Verdandi's clones, would transform one after the other into the various bandit identities she already had taken before. The nasty, ugly rowdy girl and the sergeant. The other two clones would go to seek some of the guard's corpses and change their appearance into them. Once the lot of them were all properly disguised as bandits. The sergeant-clone would charge out of the tent. Seemingly to the onlookers it would be reinforcements of the bandit clan to come to aid for their captain. But instead of attacking the 'prince' aka Verdandi. They would charge for the nobles and diplomates. "Traitors! All of you! DIE YOU SCUM!"

The sergeant would start a massacre. The obviously almost defenceless diplomats were running. Crying. Screaming. Verdandi's fake bandits would cut them down. One by one. Dozens of them soon dead. Zu could either help or just tag along. Meanwhile Verdandi was busy in a face off with the captain. His large body grabbing onto a huge sword, confronting the rogue 'prince' and starting to slam down on Verd's stolen sword. Many guards' moving in to help him. Some confused by the fake sergeant's call to massacre the diplomats would actually start to join in on Verdandi's clone army hunting down the civilians like sheep. The diplomats would run for their life. Off towards the north exit of the camp. Verdandi's clone army would chase them, by now a huge number of bandits had joined their fray, seeing that their brethren were hunting these inbred they never liked in the first place. "Down with the TRAITORS. DOWN with the filthy blooded CLANS. THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE." The fake sergeant would scream. Making sure to rile up the bandits around him. Making sure to chase the diplomats. But also making sure that, despite killing another dozens of them. Just a few would survive. Running off into the distance. Far away from here. Off back home to their clans to tell the tale of how they were attacked and slaughtered by the bandits. Verdandi, as fake-sergeant would 'let them live' once they escaped the north gate. Telling the other bandits not to chase them.

Making it look as if the sergeant wanted them to live so they could tell their clans 'not to mess with us!'. The delusion was perfect. Verdandi commanded the filthy bandits to return and go support their captain. Basically, leaving the clones and Zu alone at the north gate. "Now. All I have to do is finish the job." The fake sergeant would take on Zu and lead him off into the distance. Back to the oasis where they all started off this whole mission. The remaining three clones would transform themselves again. Turning into the appearance of golden-sun guards not much unlike Zu was looking before. Moving back in to attack the bandits. Using their swords to launch in from behind. Verdandi would cause a massacre that day. Dozens of bandits would fall by the hands of her clones' blades. Specifically targeting the weak ones and just keeping the sergeants away from Verdandi's real fight as 'Prince' vs. Captain. The two of them still going at it in the centre of the, by now completely destroyed to shambles, main camp area. Verd was obviously having a hard time. Since the captain was using basic ninjutsu attacks and Verdandi didn't want to give away that the prince suddenly somehow became a ninja. Forced to avoid the ninjutsu blows with speed and reaction. Not rarely getting caught in a blast and tossed backwards to the next best wall. Starting to feel that, if things would keep going this way. She could even lose.

But eventually the clones reached Verdandi. One was still busy distracting the sergeant's. But two clones were ready to move in. Verdandi launched forward. A fist to the captain's gut. But his own came down to hit her neck. Lifting his sword to slice into the staggered Verdandi. But the clones attacked, slicing their own blades to the captain's thighs. Leaving him to scream loud in pain and turn around. His blade slicing into one of the clones. It almost dispersed. Verdandi's clones would have to fake its own defeat and crawl away. Somewhere out of sight. Somewhere it could disperse itself without being seen for doing so. Verdandi returned back on her feet. Her crescent shaped blade attacking the Captain. Clashing with his Claymore. The clone using the advantage to slice into him from behind. Dealing multiple small cuts to the captains back. But eventually he turned around and his fist hit the clone's belly. Sending it flying into a next half broken tent. So Verdandi was once again alone with the captain. The last clone pulling away the sergeants from the fight. Barely keeping up. If the clone lost. The captain's backup would rain down on Verdandi and she'd be forced to use ninjutsu to not actually end up dying here. The clone using all its speed and reaction to avoid the blade without killing too many of the leaders. They were still needed. They would have to step up in the captain's place and go to war with the other bandit clans.

Verdandi knew she had to hurry up. Things weren't going as planned anymore. She would grab on some sand. Toss it in the captain's face. But with a twist. Adding one of her chilli bombs to it. The paper bomb would open on impact along with the sand on the captain's face. Invading his nostrils. Forcing him to keep his eyes shut. Verdandi kicked his bleeding thighs. Sending him to his knees. Specific punches to his muscles, exactly at the central nerve joints. Rendering his arms useless. Punching his gut. Letting him fall back. Spitting blood. Until at last. The moment of victory had come. Verdandi made sure that the clone now turned back to pull the sergeants in to witness this. As she picked up the captains Claymore. Lifting it and bringing it down on the captain's throat. Decapitating him. With his head severed. 'The prince' would call for his 'guard' and start to make a run for it. Both of them easily faster than the rest of the bandits. Eventually vanishing past the north gate. Verd would soon find a shadow behind a sand dune. Using the silhouette technique to turn herself invisible and disperse her last clone. Waiting until the chasing bandits ran past her. Started to get confused. Started to get angry. Realized that they lost the 'prince' and would return back to their camp. Verdandi would wait a few minutes before she would undo her prince-disguise.

Pulling out a sealing scroll to pull a cloak out of it and tossing it onto her form. A little natural disguise this time. Not that she expected to encounter any bandits anymore. But safe is safe. Verdandi moved on to the Oasis. When she arrived, she pulled out another sealing scroll. Dropped the severed head of the captain to the ground. She'd wink as she could see Zu waiting for her. Probably been bored for a few minutes. Sacrifices had to be made sometimes. Verd would seal the captains severed head away. She had two bounties to collect tonight. Captain and Prince. Since she had body parts of both. Verd would sit down next to the Oasis pond and exhale a few times. Seeming obviously, drastically tired now. "Well guess that's it. The sergeants will now go back. Probably fighting over the free leader position. Eventually ready to take revenge on the golden suns. But one thing is sure. They are now officially at war with EVERY other bandit camp around here. Having slaughtered some of their diplomats. Their name is now ruined. That will give the bandit clans plenty of reasons to come and slaughter each other. So, I'd say our mission was quite successful. Even more so than planned I guess. Going to get quite the nice pay-out for this sort of result. Probably suits you too now doesn't it?" she chuckled. "You did well. Very well. Thanks for helping me out there. Was a good job."

Verdandi silently nodded to herself as Zu seemed to be completely speechless after the whole major act of the mission. Verd would pat him on the head and tell him that he was a good boy. Eventually taking him to the Mission HQ so he could finally get part of his payment as well. Verdandi herself was quite happy with the outcome of the mission. A lot of detail had been poured into it that added to an extra outstanding result. But it was time to pack things up, she'd leave suna soon for good. It was time to return back home to Kiri.
