Niala

Niala

D-rank

It’s time to head back home.

The realization had come on suddenly, the sheer amount of time that had passed only having truly been realized the evening before for her when they were all sitting around having what would be their last meal in Kirigakure. The trio had done a lot of growing and learning, perhaps not all skill wise, but more about themselves as much as anything else. In Niala’s case a lot of ‘firsts’ had happened during this first trip away from home without her parents: her first kiss, her first sexual encounter with her future husband. Some of these firsts were darker though: the first time she had truly wanted to kill someone, the first time she had truly wanted to see someone suffer by her own hands. She had learned that she wasn’t becoming a monster, that the darkness lurking within her had always been there - she had simply been suppressing it out of fear. She no longer was afraid of it though, and had begun to embrace it as simply being a part of who she was. This didn’t make her evil: she still had her morals, she still had her personal grasp on what was right or wrong. But it did open her eyes to what was lying ahead for not just herself but for her twin and her best friend. They would all face hardship, they would all have to face decisions that would either make them into stronger people or shatter them to pieces. It was a road that would be long and never easy, and yet this realization didn’t scare her, it simply enlightened her.

Just as Niala had done some changing on the inside so too had she done so on the outside. During her trip she had gained several piercings - her ears taking the brunt of them as both were now lined with several hoops and studs of a black tinted metal - and her affinity towards darker clothing, specifically black clothing, had developed and strengthened: shown easily in her travel attire of a black long sleeved top with holes in the bottom of the sleeves of her thumbs to poke through, and black pants the cuffs of which were tucked into combat boots. Weapons were hidden in various locations on her person, and at her waist was a pouch that held the scrolls containing her travel items as well as her puppets. With black eyeliner lining her eyes and her hair pulled back into a ponytail she looked… lethal. There truly was no other way to describe it. She looked far more grown up: gone was the little girl who had arrived, and in its place had begun to develop a confident young woman who was growing each day more and more comfortable with her skills and the job she was expected to do.

That morning, after her shower, Niala had checked and double checked to ensure that none of her personal property was left behind, nor that of anyone else either. She had chosen to skip breakfast - not feeling exactly hungry - but had packed various pieces of fruit away for later consumption during their journey. With patience she had waited near the door for her twin and fiance to be ready before making her way down to the check out desk with them. Checking out was a simple affair: turning over keys and signing a paper, and then they were able to leave.

She didn’t speak much as they made their way through the village and towards the gates; her mind already miles ahead of them, back home in Iwagakure as she wondered what sort of welcoming would be waiting for them all when they got back. But, once they had passed through a smile would form on her face as she looked at the other two, “Let’s get home. Maybe they’ll have a welcome home feast waiting with all of our favorite foods, eh?”, she spoke softly. So, with her twin and her best friend she would take off, traversing the distance that lay between Kirigakure and Iwagakure - sometimes by boat, and sometimes by land, until finally they would arrive at the familiar gates of Iwagakure. Home. Home at last.

“None of them care about you.”, Kensaku eyes snapped open to the sound of the voice. The blinds keeping the room in complete darkness, not letting an ounce of the morning sunlight in. Bloodshot eyes looked frantically around the room, trying to find the owner of the voice. Despite being the dark, he still located the all familiar silhouette in the furthest corner of the room. Whoever it being was hunched over, and smaller than the average human. “Look at them. Niala, your twin, the one who supposed to have your back. What did she do? She left. Going on missions, advancing her career, leaving behind for others. Never once did she ask you to do missions or anything.”, The words were like poison, infecting his mind, causing him to think about what all had happened since arriving to Kirigakure no Sato. How it seems the bond between him and Niala was ever slowly ebbing away. How they didn’t do anything together upon arriving in this backwater country.

“You know it’s true. She is leaving you behind. And let’s not talk about what she did with Kannon. She doesn’t know you walked in on them, does she? She doesn’t know that you heard her soft moans in the bathroom. She doesn’t know what you felt when you left the house as silently as you came, and stayed out long enough for her to finish. Face it, Kensaku. Niala does no longer need nor care for you.” At the mention of what that day, Kensaku’s heart clenched. The moment forever ingrained in his head when he walked into the house, expecting to find Niala or Kannon, only to hear her soft moans and the sound of flesh smacking against one another coming from the bathroom. He remembered his heartache upon realizing what was happening. How he wished he never heard her moan out Kannon’s name in such a manner. God, he wished he was blissfully aware of what had occurred.

“Stop it.”, He whimpered, tears silently rolling down his face as he thought about everything that was said. How it was true that he was losing his twin, his sister, his. . . “Why stop now?”, The voice taunted, “Let’s talk about Destiny. Your love who was alive all of this time. You met her in Suna, but where is she now? Why isn’t she by your side? She left you just like your sister. “ He did not want to hear it. He didn’t! He just wanted to make it stop. He didn’t want to think that she left him again. ..left him with nobody now. “Shut it.”, The words coming out as a whisper, but steadily growing louder.

“No.”
“Shut up!”
“Not unti - -”
SHUT UP!

Kannon shot up from his bed, hand clenching his chest, heart beating rapidly as his eyes looked around the room, silvers of sun rays filtering in. “Ughh.” Throwing off the covers, he did not even bother trying to cover himself up as he went to the bathroom to get ready for the trip back on. As he passed by the corner, his eyes briefly looked at the hunched over puppet sitting there. It being the first one he ever made. “Shut up.”, The words being a whisper as he closed the bathroom door behind him.

Standing outside, he patiently waited for Niala and Kannon to arrive. Nothing has been said as he followed the pair out of Kirigakure no Sato gates. A small smile, not exactly reaching his eyes, appeared on his face at Niala’s comment, “Yeah. That would be great.” For the rest of the trip, he followed in silence and slightly behind the pair. His thoughts whirling with what happened this morning. As they neared Iwagakure no Sato’s gates, he paused. . .”Is it true?” The words being barely a whisper before following the pair home. . .

Kannon

Kannon

D-rank
Kannon did not know how long he had been in Kirigakure no Sato with his fiance and her twin brother. Days? Weeks? Months? Who knows how long they have stayed in the country known for it’s swordsmen and blacksmith, among other things. It did not matter to the young man tho. No. For what had started out as an easygoing trip turned into something he could have never guessed. Away from the prying eyes of their parents, and her brother, him and Niala had time to strengthen their relationship. They were able to get to know one another better. To understand each other on a deeper level that previous. They were able to do things that might be impossible once they get home. They were able to kiss without worrying someone see them. They were able to . ..

At the mere thought of both of their first sexual encounter, Kannon blushed as he remembered how it came about. An innocent gesture of helping a tired Niala into the shower, only realizing later what it meant, turned into so much more. What started as simply making sure she was able to make it to the bathroom, turned into him seeing his first nude body. The nude body belonging to his fiance. He can still feel the blush on his face as he remember how beautiful she looked. The tinge on her face when she stood in front of him in only her birthday suit. He remembered when she told him to join her. He stripping out of his clothing, and blushing as she looked at his nakedness. He remembered the innocent bathing turned into something more with them both moaning in pleasure as they had their first sexual moment together. At the mere thought of the encounter, of the feeling of Niala’s skin underneath his, the feeling of her. . .Kannon shook his head, having felt something rising from such thoughts.

A sigh escaping his lips, knowing there was no way she could help him relieve the tension, as he walked towards the bathroom to handle his problem. He having to make sure he was quite less he wanted some unwanted ears to hear what he was doing, and who he was thinking about while doing so. After taking care of the particular problem, he decided to take a shower to remove any stench that might be on him. Fifteen minutes later, he stepped out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist.

A short sleeve, buttoned up, white shirt was slipped on, followed by a pair of slightly baggy dark blue pants and black boots. His clothing style having changed from the traditional style associated with the Samurai to something more modern in appearance. The style change being a suggestion from Niala that Kannon took to heart. After putting his hair in a low hanging ponytail, he looked around the barren room. Making sure he had everything. His swords being sealed up in a scroll, along with his other weapons. Once everything was double checked, again, he stepped out of the room.

He did not say anything as he joined the other two. Walking with them to check out the place they had rented, before heading towards the villages gates. Chestnut brown eyes looking about the place that they were now leaving from. As they passed the village gates, he could not help but to smile at Niala’s comment, “A welcoming feast would be amazing.”, He spoke, having missed his mother’s cooking. Not like there was anything wrong with what any of them cooked, just nothing beats his mother’s.

Time went by quickly for them as they transverse the terrain between Water and Rock country by sea and by land. Soon, they eventually made it to the gates of Iwagakure no Sato. They finally made it home. . .
