Tatsuo is a rather unique animal by many standards. It is said that island drakes took the occasional fondness for otters, and that on occasion, when the offspring was viable, these creatures would emerge. According to legend, their draconian blood grants them increased size and fortitude, while their otter side grants agility and underwater prowess. (Wether they actually have dragon blood is a matter of speculation. It's more likely according to many that they are in part marine lizard.) As a species, they appear to have an odd mix of traits. They stand taller than any normal otter, having a build that seems almost wolfish, a trait from their drake parents, mixed with their mammal nature.. Their otter like body, combined with an almost wolfish stance can make them more intimidating than any normal otter. Their laws are heavily webbed but boast sharp claws that help make them an apex predator in their native island homes. They also possess sharp canine teeth and crushing molars for killing seals, fish, and other prey. Their stance allows them to be more threatening on land, and they hunt land animals as easily as aquatic prey.

Tatsuo has a light brown coat of fur over most of his body, with scattered dark brown spots over his back and body. His long tail continues this pattern unroll it reached the end, where it flares out in a sail of sorts with a pattern of large scales. His ears resemble fins more than anything, but still serve to direct sound into his inner ears as normal. These scales sections are a sort of muted blue.

He is still fairly young and growing. As he matures (is trained to higher ranks) he will grow progressively larger. At E rank he stands, paw to shoulder, at around 3 feet tall and roughly 4 feet long, excluding the tail which would add several feet. For each rank past E rank, he will grow 6 inches in height and length. So by A rank, he will reach roughly 5 feet tall while standing on all 4 paws, and will be big enough to ride as a mount. (As per standard seijutsu combat pet rules.) Tatsuo will have his largest growth spurt as he reaches full maturity (S rank), reaching just over 5 and a half feet long and just over 7 and a half feet in length.

Personality: Tatsuo is quite playful and energetic, jumping and chasing things. He can almost come across as puppyish. He tends to be very friendly and quick to socialize with new people. That said he is not too quick to trust. He's very protective of Namika, and will growl quite fiercely should anything seem threatening. The biggest indicator of why is simply that he seems to take an almost parental role due to Namika’s childish side. So long as everyone is friendly and he doesn't sense danger, he is generally nice to everyone. Like Namika, he is at home in the water and greatly enjoys swimming as a passtime. While he can eat limited fruits and veggies, he is a carnivore, and the great majority of his diet is meat. It’s no surprise then that he greatly enjoys hunting. Wether it be rabits, snakes, fish, or anything else, he has fun and enjoys the chase.

Techniques: N/A

Tatsuo is more than capable of dishing out physical damage. His claws and teeth act as weapons 1 rank lower than him, to a minimum of D rank. (As stated in the seijutsu combat pet guide.)

Tatsuo’s combat damage:

As a seijutsu combat pet, he gains +1 tier to reaction time while within 100m of Namika. (As per seijutsu combat pet rules.)

Note that while I do reference dragons, and tried to write the appearance section as though it was a biology report in some essay, and made them sound strong and stuff… This is a normal seijutsu combat pet in every way, and complies with all the normal rules for seijutsu combat pets.

E ranked pet's cost 1,500 ryo as per the guidelines, and I will train it myself as typical.
