Tadashi

Tadashi

D-rank
Invite List:
It was a cold evening in the village, and today was day like no other. A day where something new would happen. Not much happened in Guanyin Tadashi’s life, but today was the day that that would change. Today was the day that he would meet with the Tsuchikage.

Today, as Tadashi wore a military green jacket along with his everyday attire of a loose white shirt and black pants. He stood staring up at the monstrosity that was the administration building from a few feet away, mentally preparing for his meeting with the Tsuchikage that was scheduled to start in just a few minutes. It wasn't often Tadashi scheduled meetings like this. It was rare for Tadashi to interact with anyone at all, actually. Ever since his days in the academy, his social life had been ruined beyond repair. Only knowing the fists and feet of your fellow classmates for years doesn't do anything good to a person. This caused him to practically live in solitude, wandering the village as a ghost. He's done nothing since he became a Genin, he's practically the same as he was at his graduation. He was aware that he was a pathetic excuse for a shinobi, his only notable characteristic being his intelligence. It was about time that he joined a squad of some sort and started being like most genin with the quest of becoming stronger. That was what this meeting was to be about, as today was the day he would become something.

He quickly walked towards the administration building and through the door. Now he just had to go up to the receptionist's desk and tell them why he's there. He reviewed what he had to say multiple times, he couldn't possibly mess that up, could he? The receptionist at the front desk greeted him and asked who he was, and he quickly muttered his lines. "Uh, hey, my names Guanyin Tadashi? I think my meeting with the, er, Tsuchikage.. is supposed to start.. soon." Damn it. He somehow managed to let out his words as an unintelligible whisper. Either way, the receptionist nodded and sent him to the stairs that led to the Tsuchikage's office. As an attempt to boost his confidence, Tadashi took a deep breath before starting his climb up the stairs. Upon reaching the top, all that was left in between him and the Tsuchikage was a single door. He lifted his hand to knock, his hand freezing right before it made contact. If he ever wanted to go back to his miserable life, now was the time to decide. Did he want to go back to living as a nobody while calling himself a genin? No. Did he want to continue being weak and frail while everyone else around him were becoming stronger? No. He didn't want to do any of that. Knowing this, he lightly knocked on the door, making the first step on his path to greatness.

Karumo

Karumo

D-rank
Karumo sat tediously at his desk, his chair pressed as close to the desk as possible so that his stomach almost pressed against it as he leaned forward. His back hunched and shoulders down, his eyes tirelessly ran over the map of Tsuchi no Kuni and it's relative border, many markings and distinctions made across it. Mumbling to himself as he drew over it and made notations in his own handwriting, plans for defensive structures and road expansions through harsh terrain. It would be quite the undertaking for the village to revamp sections of infrastructure if the plan could ever come together, but for now he had to look through the proposal and see what would take highest priority to be done.

His office itself was clean, pristine condition, he demanded it be that way as a sort of neat-freak himself. Anything out of place would bother him and break his focus, the large room with light brown walls adjacent. The carpet would be two shades of darker brown, forming equal squares that filled the room, each corner taking the shape of the room so that no tile was broken, even against the walls and corners, and the pattern flawless. His desk sat centered towards the back of the room, with two black chairs in front of it and his behind, another cabinet of the same wood behind him again, containing a variety of things. Upon entering the room to the right would be a small circular table with four chairs, all black as well, for any meetings that need take place. And to the left, were two wide windows overlooking the village and black stands underneath each of the windows as well. In the back left corner would be a glass door leading to a small patio exit with some chairs out there as well, for an exterior exit and entrance to his office if need be used.

His pen marked areas, one red and one black. The red to cross sections out, things that he knew wouldn't happen and the black to mark the other sections and their priority with a tier of different symbols. His musings interrupted by a small knock at the door, it was light hearted, Karumo almost wanted to ignore to see if the person would knock louder and with more force but he banished the thought. He did have a meeting this evening, with a Guanyin if he could remember from today's agenda... the first name escaped him but he recognized the name if from nothing else than being shared with Nanashi. A powerful legacy to live by, it would certainly be interesting to meet another clan member, to find out if they were all alike or if Nanashi was some special exception and personality to the rest of the clan.

Standing up, Karumo grabbed the map, nearly twice the width of himself, grabbing it by the center and letting his pens roll to the center as he dragged it up. Yelling as he lifted map, "Come in, come in!" he would walk to a table off to the side of his office and set it down gently, giving his guest time to enter in the room and find him dealing with his paper. Karumo wouldn't turn to identify him immediately though, instead watching a pen begin to roll away and off the table, quickly grabbing it as it rolled from the edge, he held the black pen in his hand as he turned afterwards.

Motioning his hand towards the desk, assuming that nothing would be said yet, he would speak up lightly with a small smile and set the pen back on the map with his other hand, "Please, take a seat." he would offer and then head back to his own seat on the opposite side of the wooden desk. Leaning back in his chair and waiting for his guest to either decline or do the same, he would speak up again to break any potential silence, "So... what can I do for you Mr. Guanyin... uhm?" Karumo hesitated and cleared his throat, unsure of what to add afterwards, dragging the sound of his voice in hopes that he would add his first name of his own accord.
