Invite List:

Konohagakure..

So this was Konohagakure, the village hidden in the leafs, the fire country. It's been a long time since this village saw the sunflower samurai. Last time he was here, Daisuke still lived in fear of being dragged back to the village hidden in the clouds. However, there was something new about this visit. By not being required to living the quiet life anymore, this village will soon see the old samurai in a new light. As Daisuke walked through the village streets for the first time in years, he senses went wild. It's been awhile since Daisuke saw a village this way. Before now, he only saw villages as death traps that would slaughter him once he stepped through their gates. That was, hopefully, no longer a issue. The sight of a village in the early evening filled him with a strange sense of happiness. It's been too long since he witnessed the site of civilization. The site people interacting with other people and the site of people going through their normal, routine business.

The stares..

Some of the villagers gave the old samurai strange looks as he passed by, but Daisuke was way to familiar these types of stares. It was nothing about the way he acted, but more about his appearance. He wore wooden sandals and a black, dragon patterned kimono and that looked tattered beyond belief. The kimono's sleeves would be hanging at his waste, revealing his muscular chest. He wore his kimono like this not only because the sleeves were annoying, but to show the fair share of scars that were scattered among his upper body. The scars showed that he was no stranger to your run of the mill injuries (stabs, cuts, arrows, etc.). Your regular kasa would also being hanging from his neck, revealing his long, greasy, black hair. On his waist would be his daisho. The three blades would seem to be the only thing on him that he cared for. Thrown over his shoulder would be a old rucksack that seemed to hold even more swords. He definitely didn't look like your everyday village, nor did he look anything close to wealthy. Most people would describe him as a strange, old bum that had some shiny swords.

This is kind of nice..

As Daisuke continued to walk through Konohagakure's streets, he realized he didn't exactly have a destination. He was just enjoying looking at the place. The village's tall walls towering over every building, and some trees peeking over the top of them. Daisuke's gaze wandered around, getting lock on certain shops that he passed and might later visit. This included things such as ramen joints, bars, flower shops, jewelry shops, and tons more. Something that caught Daisuke's attention was the Hokage Mountain the loomed over the village. The monument was there for hundreds of years, and people stopped recognizing it as something special and just got used to it being this. Daisuke was a exception, no matter how often Daisuke saw it, he would always being impressed. The mountain that portrayed all past hokages' faces in almost perfect detail. Daisuke continued walking, and his gaze continued to wander, only paying attention to what was around him and not what was in front of him. What could come out of this?

Izami had her face buried deep in her book. Her everchanging hair hung about her face, as her pale eyes scanned the page. She was vaguely aware of people walking, blundering about. Some bumped her, others made the effort to step around. Her large coat seemed to give her a surreal, superhero look as it billowed about her softly in the breeze.

"...At this point, Heaven and Earth were bright and fair; the yin had intercourse with the yang. In another 5,400 years, during the Yin epoch, humans, beasts, and fowls came into being, and thus the so-called three forces of Heaven, Earth, and Man were established. Hence it is said, man was born at Yin."

She turned the page then, her eye hungrily searching for the next page, the next part of this book. Her eye never found it. Because at that moment, the book came up to smack her in the face rather suddenly. No... No, it hadn't been that. Taking a step back in shock, she saw the source of the incident. Of course. She'd hit something hard. Solid. Towering above her, was an absolute monster of a man. Some distance taller, and immeasurably more broad, the man looked like a homeless one. His clothes were in tatters, his hair was greasy and unkempt, as if he hadn't had time to wash it in a while. Or hadn't bothered. Yet, even for all that, it wasn't what caught the young girl's eye.

His clothes were packed with dust, as if he'd just come travelling. He carried a number of great swords with him, and she didn't doubt he knew how to use them. Taking a step back, clutching the book to her chest and looking at the man, she spoke. "I... I'm sorry, I... wasn't looking where I was going... Please, forgive me" She bowed, trying to show she meant no offense.

Looking back at the man, she saw his scars. Legion, and telling, the scars seemed to cover every foot of exposed skin. She felt the strangest compulsion to reach out and touch one, her hand straying out in front of her. She snapped out of it suddenly, letting her hand drop back to her side.
"Are... You new to the Village?" she asked nervously, her eyes hunting his face behind her hair for any sign of... well, ANYTHING.

Did something just.. walk into him?

Daisuke kept walking down the streets of Konohagakure, his wooden sandals pitter pattering as he walked. His gaze kept wondering as several shops including flower shops, weapon shops, and restaurants caught his eye. He loved this village, but it wasn't his true destination. This was just a normal stop for sight seeing, or it was a desperate attempt to have something happen in his boring life of wandering around. He was starting to get lost in his thoughts again, only to be interrupted by the slight shock from something, or someone, walking into him. Daisuke stopped in his tracks after this sudden force of impact. The shock of walking into someone made his wandering gaze go down, desperately looking for whoever couldn't keep their eyes on what was in front of them. His red eyes met those of a little girl, a.. really little girl. Daisuke stayed silent for a bit, carefully examining the young teen. She was short, and on closer inspection, seemed to be in her teens. Her clothing was strange in a sense with the long, white trench coat that stretched to her ankles. Although, Daisuke wasn't exactly one to talk with the rags that he called clothes. Daisuke's guess on as to why she walked into him into the first place would have to be the book that she started to hide behind. As she scrambled together an apology and bowed down, Daisuke couldn't help to smile. She was lucky she was a young girl, if it had been someone else, Daisuke probably would've had trouble keeping his top on (getting angry). Daisuke probably didn't look like the nicest type of person, so he thought he should prove that some stereotypes were wrong. Daisuke crouched down to match the girl's height, and let out his carefully pieced together response in a rough, but somewhat soothing tone.

"It's nothing to worry about. Accidents happen, so I'll let you off the hook. However, you should be more careful. Reading is a good thing to do, and I understand that some books are so good that you can't keep your nose out of them. But there's no point of risking walking into someone. You have to understand that there are some people that wouldn't have let you off as easily as I did."

Daisuke ended his short lecture with a big smile, to show he didn't mean any harm. As he started to stand back up and walk away, the girl asked a new question, ".. Are you new to the village?" This same question always seemed to come up no matter where Daisuke went. He always looked different from everyone else, and everyone kept asking the same question. Daisuke usually ended the conversation with a simple no, but this was a different. If it were the old Daisuke, he would keep walking and ignore the girl, however, Daisuke came here to change, so he quickly deciding he would try to make something out of this random encounter with this bookworm. He turned back to face her, and let out his response with a smile.

"No, I'm not new to Konohagakure, no matter how much I may look like I am. I've visited this village many time throughout the last several years or so.. Why do you ask?"

Izumi blinked at his response. She'd half expected the man to explode, to raise his voice, and perhaps even his hand. Yet, instead he crouched down to her level, and spoke firmly, but strangely soft and kind.

And then, he stood to walk away, catching Izumi off guard, and causing her to blurt her question. He stopped, and spoke again, asking her a question this time. She stuttered for a moment, before clearing her throat, wherein her voice became firmer and more confidant. She'd overcome the bluster that had knocked her off guard, and now she was back in some form of control.

"I... You have the appearance of a traveler. I... I want to leave the Village, see the world." She stood to her full height, which was still dwarfed by Daisuke, but gave a glimpse of the woman she may one day become. "Can... Can I come with you?" she asked suddenly, her white eyes searching his face.

”Can.. Can I come with you?”

Yes..

That’s what he wanted to say..

Why didn’t he say it?

As the words came out of the girl’s mouth, Daisuke’s face would freeze as he entered an obvious state of confusion, and maybe even shock. The words hit him hard, no one has said anything even remotely similar to those words to him in the last ten years. He didn’t know how to respond. If Daisuke wasn’t playing the safe card, he would have immediately said yes to the girl, but that wasn’t the case. Throughout his several years of wandering alone, he quickly learned how to use caution. Daisuke has been alone for the last ten years, running away from the mistakes he made in his past. He desperately wanted a travel companion, someone to talk to, someone that he could build a relationship with.. A friend. Despite all of his wants, Daisuke couldn’t possibly allow  a person that he just so happened to.. bump into while walking through the streets to instantly become his travel companion. The girl said she wanted to leave the village to see the world, which happened to be rather close to Daisuke’s reason for leaving his village, ten years ago. However, that wouldn’t work. Daisuke needed to know more about this girl before he’d even think about granting her request. They just met, not even acquainted yet, neither of them know anything about the other. What was this girl thinking? It’s good to not judge people by their appearances and all, but this girl shouldn’t asking a man such as Daisuke, who looks like he could easily assault her, to allow her to travel with him. This girl was really desperate, or just really stupid. Either way, Daisuke couldn't accept her. Not yet.

After appearing lost in thought, Daisuke's smile would slowly fade as he let out a long sigh. He took a good look at the girl that stood in front of him. She appeared to be in her teens, maybe fourteen or fifteen, although the stance that she stood in made her seem strangely.. older. Her clothes weren't anything special, but the large coat she wore was a bit strange. Even then, it seemed to add something to her, could it be power? At this point, Daisuke would take anyone that was willing as a traveling companion. This girl, however, there was something different about her. Something that put her above everyone else. It was a strange feeling, and this samurai had no idea what it was. After the short inspection, his smile would creep back as he started to respond to the young woman that stood waiting for an answer.

"I want to say yes, as you seem like an entertaining, and competent, travel companion. Sadly, however, I can't say yes. Not yet, at least.", The samurai would let out a small chuckle before continuing, "We don't know anything about each other, not even each other's names. Here, I'll start. My name's Akako Daisuke, and I'm what'd you call a wandering.. samurai, yeah, I like that." He'd extend his free hand towards the girl for a handshake, his grin growing wider as he seemed pleased with his self given title. "We need to get to know each other before I can let you come on the road with me.. Maybe at a park or something? I don't really know anywhere that we can talk in this village, but it's definitely not in the middle of the street. Maybe you know somewhere?"

Izumi bowed her head again, her book seemingly forgotten in her hand. Then Daisuke's hand appeared in her vision. and she looked at it with a slightly perplexed expression. She then took it, stunned for a moment about how big the man's hands were compared to her own small, strangely delicate hands.

She could feel the calluses in his palms, clearly a man who has lived a long, very physical life. Retrieving her hand from her new associates', she bowed her head as she introduced herself.
"Hyuga Izumi" she introduced herself, before returning her white eyes to Daisuke's face.
"There... There's a lovely park not far from here. The one surrounded by the cherry blossoms. She smiled, walking backward as she did so. "Come on, it's this way!"

Soon enough she led the tall Daisuke into a large courtyard, one surrounded on all sides by rows and rows of cherry blossom trees. Brilliant colour ringed the courtyard, which held a single massive tree in the center. Izumi danced among the falling blossoms, spinning and twirling as her eyes watched the sky in eager interest. She paused, looking toward Daisuke. "Is this place... okay?"

What was he doing?

He let go of the girl's hand as she shook it, and smiled as the girl ran ahead of him toward the park he requested. The girl called himself Hyuga, Izumi. A nice, pretty name, but something else caught his interest. Hyuga. A name he heard many times before, despite not knowing much about the clan. He only knew a bit about their eyes. The world famous Byakugan that allowed it's users to see their enemy's chakra flow. That peaked his interest, it might even be useful in the future. If he became friends with this girl, that is. He wanted to become friends with this girl, he really did. It would be a nice change of pace from his life of solitude he lived before today. But somehow, he felt as if he wasn't ready.

This.. This isn't right.

He started to follow the cheerful girl, but he stopped walking shortly after he start. This wasn't right. He shouldn't be doing this. He couldn't become friends with this girl, as much as he wanted to, he couldn't. It wasn't possible. He was a criminal, Kumogakure no Sato wants his head. It may have been ten years, but there was surely someone from the village that was after him. He couldn't allow this girl to be apart of the violence that was for sure to come. As much as he wanted to let this girl into his life of solitude, her safety was more important than his feelings/ He.. He had to leave. Now.

As the girl started to guide him towards the park that he requested that they go to, he turned around, towards the gates in which he came from, and started walking back towards him. This village wasn't ready for him yet. He wanted to experience something new, something that he hasn't experienced in several years, but now wasn't the time.
