It’s still such a refreshing feeling.

The freedom that these people, the citizens of Kirigakure, have even though they’re surrounded by these tall walls. Even though they may be for their defense or natural disasters, it’s fair to say that it does indeed take some of their desired freedom away from them. Even so, walking through the city and passing many shops in the shopping district, he could see that the people here, at least the citizens, were genuinely happy. Many families come together to get something to eat, go shopping or seek for something else to entertain them with. The white haired boy mingled with the crowd, every now and then avoiding to bump into someone and change his direction at the last moment. He wasn’t really hungry, nor was he in the need for some shopping, but these distractions are just what he needs. There’s no point in hanging around by yourself and clinging to the past, but rather facing them and see the world for yourself. Every individual has their different traits that makes them unique in their own way. He has already learned that the world isn’t always the happy place that people want it to be first-hand. Passing a clothing store, he looked down at his clothing; the white-colored vest, the plain black shirt beneath it as well as his grey colored pants, black belt and black boots that covered up to his shin area. Thinking for a moment, still while walking, though shaking his head afterwards. There wasn’t a need for him to get new clothes. The Shinobi path that he’ll take, they’ll get dirty anyway. Buying new clothes now will probably mean he’ll buy new clothes every time they get worn out. He needs to get used to wearing the worn out clothing he’ll have from now on.

His white colored hair swayed from left to right as he moved through the crowds of people. Wanting to take a rest, he tried to spot a bench from where he was walking. Only a few meters further, there was one. No one was seated on it, so perfect for him to take his well-earned rest. Today has been a busy day for him, as all he has done was wandering around, desiring to meet new people, perhaps. His boots left a few prints of dirt as a trail, to show that he hasn’t been sitting still in a long time. Planting his rear on the bench, he immediately let out a sigh. From all that walking, he did get rather tired and had the feeling that he didn’t want to move anymore for a while as soon as he gave his legs and feet a rest. He stretched out, arching his back for a moment. Many people were talking, so the area was pretty loud. Not to mention that he was sitting in front of a store where people walked in and out of, apparently a food store. He didn’t really have the need to fill his stomach, but should someone walk up to him asking him if he’d like anything from the menu, who’s he to decline? From his memory, he still has enough in his wallet to get himself something to replenish his lost energy.

Shifting his eyes to his right, he eyed the tall wall that surrounded the city. Uncomfortable. That’s the word that immediately popped into his mind when he saw the thing that blocked his view. Rei himself has seen the world outside already, the moment that he escaped from that slavery camp. But what would someone’s thoughts be that hasn’t been outside of the village yet? An entire open world, unexplored. Not even a little bit of it seen. Actually, Rei could imagine that. For eleven years, he has grown up in an isolated place that wouldn’t even show them the sunlight; favorable for Rei since he dislikes the heat, though hates it because it took away his freedom. At that moment, he didn’t even have an idea what the open world looked like, yet he saw it with his very own eyes. And with his very strength he overcame the difficulties and broke his way out. Would that be possible for these people? The people of the other villages? Rei could only think and imagine the actions and consequences, but not execute the plans himself. Though, it was an interesting thought that crossed his thoughts for a moment, though far out of reach. His mind continued to wander.

She had just gotten up to progress through the daily rounds of life once again. As usual, it was a day of planning, but not for training. There was enough training done within the week, so it was more of a relaxed day around the village. And, it was a beautiful day, too. The sun was shining through perfectly unlike other days, and the mist was lighter than before. It brought a certain ray of light to the citizens wandering through the village. “What a beautiful day,” Teru sighed, folding her arms across her chest as she roamed the streets of Kirigakure. She was wearing a simple black shirt underneath a happi coat and dark purple pants. Her sandals left shallow tracks along the road as she walked by her lonesome. The blonde locks of her hair were tied back in a high ponytail with the bangs framing both sides of her face, and her forehead hidden under a Kiri headband. “I actually don’t regret taking the day off.”

The sights and smells were all enticing. All looked like wonderful places to visit, but there were simply too many places to visit. “Dango! Come and get it while its fresh!” a shopkeeper shouted out to the crowds of men, women and children. While most would overlook the inviting sounds of productivity, Teru paid the clerk a visit. As soon as she was able to get passed the people, Teru stood before the salesman handing out loads of sweet dango. “Ah, welcome! Come to taste Kirigakure’s finest supply of dumplings, have you?”

“Why yes,” she laughed, and gave the man a friendly smile. “How much is a small package?”

“For you, it’s on the house,” he chuckled, packing about six dumplings into a small box. It was a kind offering that she couldn’t help but accept, and it sent her down a road of warm feelings. She walked along with the box of goodness in one hand. One was already taken out and in her mouth. ‘Delightful,’ she mentally praised the work done on making the sweet. So far, the day was going great. There were a lot of happy faces down the road, which pleased the wandering ninja as she soon approached a fellow sitting by himself on a bench. It wasn't uncommon for someone to sit alone. Why, even she had her moments of doing that very thing. Nonetheless, whether he wanted to be alone or not, Teru approached him with a friendly air around her.

She stopped just a few feet in front of him, smiling down at him. "Hi there," she greeted, and glanced down at the spot next to him. "Are you waiting on anyone? If not, I was hoping I could sit next to you and share these dango." Patiently, she waited for a response, hoping that he would welcome her. He was a new face, so she wanted to get to know him better while he was still around. Or, rather, while she was still around.

Being a little lost in thought, for a moment there he had failed to realize that a person walked up to him, until the moment that she spoke. She had a friendly tone in her voice, a tone that would brighten anyone’s day, really. Rei hasn’t had any interaction yet, today, besides that it’s always interesting to meet new individuals every day. Looking up to see who it was that decided to approach him, he noticed it was a rather young girl with blonde hair styled in the way of a high ponytail. Directly noticeable, she was a Shinobi from this village as her headband was covering her forehead. It didn’t take long for her to ask for her to join him on the spot next to him and even share some food with him. All this time, he thought he’d wait for someone from this store to rack him up something to eat, while in the meantime this girl actually comes along and asks someone she just met to eat dango with her. This day couldn’t have gotten any better, he’d suppose.

A smile crossed his lips as well, lightly tapping the spot next to him before removing his hand from that area. “Of course, my name’s not on it, anyway.” He mentioned, letting out a slight laugh as a reaction to his own dumb ‘joke’. It wasn’t every day a stranger walked up to you with free food, though somewhere in the back of his head he found it disrespectful not to pay her at least something in return, but that would be a subject getting brought up later. For now, he figured introductions would be in place, leading from his dumb joke earlier. “Speaking of names, mine is Yuki, Rei.” He spoke, pointing his right index finger to himself. “I’m kind of surprised, though. Normally, someone wouldn’t walk up to a random person they don’t know and share their food.” It was true. In the open world, there are very few people that would go out of their way and help a complete stranger on their own path. This wasn’t exactly, helping, but would it fall under the category ‘caring’? If, of course, he wouldn’t happen to sit on the bench she wanted to sit on anyway.

Just thinking about the food that she brought along made his stomach growl. It was kind of an annoying feeling; the feeling of an empty stomach. But he had to bear with it, because of manners. Hoping that she hadn’t heard his stomach rumble, he remained quiet, patiently waiting for her to introduce herself. In the meantime, you could hear voices coming from every direction, showing how busy the street actually was at this point of the day. At least it wasn’t noisy enough that they couldn’t hear each other talk anymore. Rei didn’t mind a busy street. It’s interesting to see what kind of people pass you and observe their behavior. It expands your knowledge of people and there might be a chance you could use that information again in the future, for example if someone would be hiding something from you. The smile remained on his lips, looking her into the eyes; as being polite.

It could be seen that he was focused on thoughts of his own rather than anything else. He seemed like he had quite a bit on his mind; she could assume that much. But, he noticed her when she came by in hopes of sitting around with him. She was glad that he at least acknowledged her presence instead of shooing her away. And, seeing him smile when she offered to share her box of sweets, it made her smile. As soon as he made the gesture that signaled to her, telling her that she was free to take the spot next to him, she happily took the chance. "Thank you for letting me join you," she thanked him, and placed the box of dang in between them before opening it up for both him and her to reach in for a piece.

"It's a pleasure meeting you Rei," Teru smiled back at him as he introduced himself. His name stimulated the thinking cells in her mind. She wasn't all too familiar with the Yuki clan, nor the members of it. All she knew was that it was a very cold clan, but that was all she knew of it. This new acquaintance she made was the first ever Yuki she had met. "My name is Teru Uchiha, but you can just call me Teru if you want." She patiently listened as he expressed his surprise. Teru could understand why he was a little surprised, though. As he had stated, people wouldn't normally walk up to just anyone and have a friendly moment together. But, it made her giggle softly. "I suppose I'm a little different in that aspect, then. Maybe I just wanted someone else to have an enjoyable day. Heh, you did look a little lonely sitting here all by yourself."

Teru relaxed a bit and crossed her legs at the ankles. While the streets were noisy, it was still a pleasurable day to sit out in. Men, women, and children. The young and old, and small families. She looked back to Rei with that same smile reflecting every ounce of friendliness in her being while her hand reached into the box and pulled out a dango. "Enjoy," she grinned, holding it out to him. If he would accept it, then she would give him a nod and proceed to take one of her own after having finished off the first bit of dango she ate prior to sitting there. "So, what sort of business has you out on the streets?"

Someone as friendly as her has Rei never met. They didn’t know each other, yet she took the liberty to accompany him in his relaxation, not to mention offering food. It gave him a sense of satisfaction to be able to meet a person as happy-going as this. The smile across his own lips never faded. It was to show that he was open to meeting new people, whatever their personality. Wanting to determine if she had or hadn’t heard of his clan name before, he closely examined the expression she had as soon as he spoke it out, but nothing at all changed. He couldn’t read what she was thinking, so perhaps his last name wasn’t that much of a big deal? He wanted to find more about it himself, hoping that he could maybe get some people to talk about it, but unfortunately so far he’s had no luck in his journey of life so far. This didn’t matter, however. Whether or not they had the information he sought out, the interaction would be as enjoyable as that. As he had introduced himself just now, it was the female’s turn to do the same. It was expected for a person like this to answer honestly as well, no matter their lineage. The same thing happened to Rei as the name rang inside of his ears. “Uchiha Teru.. Uchiha..” He thought to himself, but couldn’t really place what kind of clan that was again. You couldn’t blame him, however. After just being freed after 6 years, a lot of things has slipped past him that he’s not even aware of yet. Stepping out in the open world for him is just as seeing it through the eyes of a newborn. It was a strange feeling to have and not a lot of people could understand what he’s been going through.

When she gave her reasoning for sitting next to him with a box full of dango, he let out a slight laughter. Though trying to keep it in, only a bit of it escaped through his lips. His blue hues shifted from the box of dango towards the female previously introduced as Teru. “That’s.. a little special this day and age? It might be my experienced talking, but it’s rare to meet a person that cares as much about others as themselves.” He didn’t mind, though. Instead of sitting here by himself there might as well be someone he could share stories with. He’s not interested in hearing people out, but rather just relax throughout the conversation. “You’re right, though. This sure beats sitting here by myself. In fact, I’m glad that a person like you strolled along.” He stated, resting both of his elbows on his legs, cupping his hand and resting his cheek on it afterwards. “It’s been a little boring around these parts, you know.” He mentioned as he stared along the street. It didn’t.. Seem boring, but to each their own, right? Rei didn’t particularly dislike the crowds, but they were all people he didn’t know nor had any connection with. Nothing to do other than strolling around by yourself. This is the reason why Rei thinks and even admits that an encounter like this might just be what he needs to get himself back up. This meeting may be the first of many to come.

The word enjoy was uttered as Teru held out a dango in front of his nose. He definitely didn’t want to reject the offer as his stomach growled just once more. With a nod, he slowly took the dango, not to make it seem rushed and took the first bite from it. He wanted to continue what he wanted to say, but his hunger might’ve kept him from articulating properly and needed some sort of fuel to keep himself going. Just as soon as he swallowed the first bite, the female asked him beforehand what he was doing out in the streets, but this should fit nicely with what he wanted to say, anyway. His mouth now clear from chewing the food, he was able to normally respond to that question without mumbling and making it difficult to hear. “You could say it’s sightseeing. Like I mentioned before, it’s been pretty boring around these parts. Basically, I was searching for any kind of event that might be able to entertain me to pass time..” He stopped for a moment, though started again out of the blue. “However!” He began with excitement, the stick with the dango swinging in his hand as he pointed it towards Teru, though not to the point of intimidation. “You came along and just might’ve changed the outlook of this day of mine, Teru. Not only did you probably feel my hunger from a distance, but it’s good to see that the first person I meet is a kind one. It makes me not regret my choices of coming here, in the end.” Giving a compliment, he took another bite off his dango. He was being honest with her. He didn’t have anything to hide and rather would make friends and allies than enemies, although those are sometimes unavoidable. Though not with Teru, they seemed to be able to get along just great. While chewing the food that Teru brought with her, his eyes closed as he appeared to be really enjoying the food. Making it seem like he hadn’t eaten in a while, even though he ate just a few hours ago. He felt his stomach settling down a little bit, just enough. Just as soon as he took his last bite, he placed the stick next to him on the bench. “What about you, Teru?” He asked her in return. It should be an obvious answer to that question as she has probably gone out in order to buy some of the dango in front of him, but in order to keep the conversation going, not to mention that he was interested as this isn’t happening to him every day, he figured there might be something else she was in town for. “It’s obvious that you probably bought those dango here, but was that all you came into town for?” With that, he patiently waited for her. His stomach didn’t growl anymore, though was still a little lacking of energy. Keeping his gaze off the dango, he didn’t want to take another without her permission. Instead, his vision was just locked on her. Almost so intensely, that he actually made it seem as if he wanted some more of it.

Now that she had gotten a good look at him, Teru could see that he was quite a bit different than the other people she had met. There was no outbursts of anger, nor was there hatred directed towards her. He was certainly kinder than some of the people she knew. How his smile never left made him an interesting kind of person. In a way that she couldn’t quite explain properly, she thought he would be more cold-hearted than anything. Maybe that was just a terrible view. It was certainly proved wrong, so she would have to take it back and adjust her thoughts of him. That, and she would have to do something to get to know this one. She knew of his name, but not really of anything else. Befriending him would have had to be a great start, so maybe she would do just that. Although, she wasn’t quite sure if he was even interested in a friendship. She would find out soon, she supposed. When he spoke up, she listened to his words intently. He was right about it, and there was no real reason to disagree. A person going out of their way just to do something for another, just as Teru herself had done, was certainly a rare thing indeed. And, when he mentioned it being boring around Kirigakure as of late, she couldn’t exactly disagree. For her, though, there have been a few riveting experiences and meetings that she had experienced. But, other than those few things, there was not anything else that could be worthy of any excitement. “I’m glad I did, too,” Teru agreed with Rei wholeheartedly, and laughed quietly. “Otherwise, I would have had to eat all of these by myself, and that would be no fun. At least we can actually have something worth doing now.

Teru watched Rei for a moment, curious about what he was going to do. He had given her a nod before partaking of the dango alongside her. It looked like he was eating with relish. She hoped that he liked the dango as much as it looked like he did. The food wasn’t fancy, or anything very special. But, she had hope. By the time he was finished chewing and swallowing, Teru was back to listening to his words. Sightseeing, was what he had said at first. It was a convincing statement, so she couldn’t say anything against it. “I’m glad that I could’ve brought on a brighter mood, heh heh,” she said in response to his friendly words. The spotlight was then put over her, however; it was her turn to explain why she was out in town. She thought about it for a moment as she bit down on the dango in her hand. So, what was it that she had come into town to do? “Well, you are right about me not being here just to get some dango. I suppose I was just bored, like you.” Ah, but that couldn’t have been the only reason. It was slipping her mind, and she was letting it. Teru took only a few seconds longer to get her thoughts straightened. “Ah, that’s right. I was taking a break from my training to get a little planning done for what I’m supposed to do next. That’s when I found you here, so I guess finding a new friend is something else.” Teru continued to smile and ate a little more dango. The last one she ate was the last one her stomach could handle, so the rest would be left for Rei to munch on.

Rei nodded in agreement. It’s definitely not easy to make friends this quickly, but should the link be easily connected between the two individuals, a bond gets created as simply as that. As long as there’s that connection, it doesn’t even matter what you say, the conversation just keeps going on and on automatically without even putting in the effort of making it interesting. The beginning of a friendship is always a little strange for Rei. He had never made that many friends being in captivity, since they weren’t allowed to spend that much time together and the only time they pretty much had was during their harsh work. Even then, speaking was kept at a minimum. But even during those difficult conditions, the bond was created, not having put any effort in keeping it standing. He had a feeling that it would be the same with the girl he just met; Teru. Normally, Rei has difficulty judging himself personally. But seeing himself as a friendly person, he could easily hit it off with this girl, their matching personalities. He snickers, eying Teru afterwards. “Well, it seems like bored people sense each other’s presence.” He watched her smile and eat. She must be enjoying the meal she had gotten for herself, especially after a training session. It would be impolite for Rei to take more of them, on the other hand she did invite Rei to enjoy the dango with her, so he guessed another one couldn’t hurt, right?

As he reached out for the dango and pulled it out of the box, almost completely empty compared to when they met just moments ago, he kinda got curious as to what training a person like her would be enduring. It’s not because he was looking down on her, but rather because she seemed like a gentle person; why would a person like that have to follow the path of the Shinobi? This led to his curiosity for her background, but he didn’t want to impose, but actually just subtly work up to the point where they’re well acquainted enough to know of that kind of information. It would be reasonable if such knowledge wouldn’t be passed around to people she didn’t even know in the slightest. Rei, on the other hand, isn’t that secretive with his background, there just might be some details he’d leave out until he got to know people better, but that’s reasonable as well, right? Before Rei stuffed the dango in his mind, he decided to ask her about her training. He didn’t want to be talking with a mouth full, after all. “So, Teru..” He began, blinking once and not averting her gaze from her face. “What kind of training have you been enduring? Any progress in it?” He showed an interest; right now he doesn’t have anyone to train with, himself, perhaps Teru might be interested in hitting up a training session one time. “To be honest, I’ve been kinda slacking on mine..” A grin crossed his lips as he closed his eyes and rubbed the back of his head with his right hand and after he mentioned that, stuffed the dango in his mouth with his left hand. While chewing, he was thinking to himself. He felt a bit ashamed to admit it, but he had actually been neglecting his training. Right now, there were more important things to him than getting stronger. Of course, that was still on his list, but not immediatlely one of his top priorities. Eleven years had he been grasping for freedom, and even now he’s not completely in control of his life. Well, that’s how he feels. He needs to set that right. Swallowing the remaining bits of the dango, he spoke once again. “I’ve been too busy strolling around the village looking for interesting events that might happen or be happening, but a surprise event with you was something I never expected.” The grin remained on his lips as he leaned back a little, watching the other people stroll by. The street had quieted down a little by now, but there was still enough activity left.

As she was sitting there, Teru pondered over this meeting she and Rei were pulled into, finding it to be rather… quaint. She could feel in her heart that they were forming some sort of connection with each other. The budding of a new friendship. It really was a special thing. Teru, herself, wasn’t the best at making friends. Sometimes she found herself with a minimum amount of people she could actually call ‘friend’. Of course, she did meet people, and they were nice to talk to. But, she couldn’t necessarily see them anywhere above acquaintance. What she was feeling as she conversed with Rei, that was something she saw as a friendship. He was a friendly one, and she didn’t have to make so much of an effort to return the kind nature. His presence was simply comfortable to be around.

Teru leaned her back against the hard wood of the bench and let out a content sigh. What a pleasing day it was. Being as busy as she was, there wasn’t ever enough time to actually notice how active Kirigakure was. So that was the result of relaxing? How could she ever let that slip her mind? She would have to do things like this more often, she thought. “Hm?” Teru moved her gaze from the tons of people walking off in various directions, hearing Rei bring up the topic of her training. What exactly was she enduring, was basically what he was wondering, and the progress she was making. Everything that she had been through was a bit difficult to put into words. Well, she’d have to put it into words somehow. She couldn’t just leave him in a state of wonder. “I suppose what I’ve been and am doing is all for my physical abilities. While all of my training has been pretty lightweight, I’ve been able to gradually enhance my strength and endurance. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to get the greatest results like I’ve been wanting. Maybe I’m just not working hard enough.” When he had told her that he was actually slacking on his training, Teru couldn’t help but raise a brow-- with a smile, of course. What a silly one he was, she thought. Well, if he wasn’t doing much with his own training, she’d have to try and help out with that if he would allow her to. His seeking of events seemed to be more of a priority, she assumed after he spoke up again. “If it’s something interesting you are looking for, I suppose you and I could find some time to train together. It would certainly do us both some good. There’s just so much that we could possibly do. But I think I’ll leave the decision to you. I’d actually be up for anything, really. Although, if you were to go for something along the lines of training, I’ll have to be entirely honest with you. Holding back isn’t exactly an easy thing for me to do, heh heh.”

Teru stopped speaking for a moment and allowed Rei the time to respond to all of her words. She waited patiently, quietly eager to know what he would say to her. The exciting things that may or may not follow; it was a thought she enjoyed having.

It wasn’t a bad idea at all. Teru mentioned that she hadn’t been getting the results from her training that she was expecting, but maybe another person joining that training could make all the difference. Rei himself wasn’t that experienced yet when it comes to battling, but he could at least prove himself useful on the training grounds for the sake of progression. He wasn’t lying when he told her that he was slacking on his training. In fact, it had been several days when he trained for the last time. It has been quite a while, indeed. He hoped that he didn’t get rusty, but he couldn’t help himself to accept the invitation Teru made to help her out with her training. Who knows, maybe Rei could improve himself during that time, as well. But for now, there was no need for sweating and panting, because the weather was calm and the conversation they had was very relaxing to Rei. He gave a simple nod into her direction. “I’d like that, Teru.” He began, once again with a genuine smile across his lips. “I’ll try to be of use to your development.” He added onto it afterwards. There’s nothing wrong with his confidence; but he didn’t want to get someone’s hopes up, if in the end he might be a disappointment, after all. At the same time, it seemed that there was nothing wrong with Teru’s confidence, either, mentioning that she wasn’t that much of an expect regarding holding back her strength. Rei actually couldn’t hold in the laughter anymore and let it slip slightly through. Some of the people passing by almost broke their necks looking at Rei because of the sudden noise coming from his direction, perhaps embarrassing Teru in the process. He couldn’t help it. The laughter wasn’t to mock Teru, but going by her appearance and her gentle nature, what she just said wasn’t something he’d expect from a person like her, which made it all the better.

His laughter slowly but surely died out, actually having to catch his breath for a little bit. Although he held in the volume of the laughter, the duration of it was pretty long. Don’t laugh loud but long to conserve energy, right? “Pffff.” A sound got out of his mouth as if he was a balloon that just emptied itself. Rei was back to relaxing as his eyes closed and let the wind crawl up against his skin. The people had already turned their gazes away from both Rei and Teru, carrying on with their own daily lives. Calming down for a second, Rei opened his eyes and turned his blue eyed gaze into Teru’s eyes. They’ve been sitting here for a while now and noticing the dango box empty, they both had their fill of the food. “Tell me, Teru.” He began. He wanted to go do something, but it wouldn’t necessarily have to be training. Perhaps a change of scenery would be best? Of course, should Teru feel the need to commence her training after taking this break, Rei would be more than happy to take a part in it and help her find flaws and find improvements she could make. “Is there any place you’d like to visit?” He just asked her in a way that she could decide what their plans would be. Of course, there could always be the option to just stroll around the city a little longer with the two of them in order to see if there is anything fun happening around town, but he left that decision completely up to Teru. Waiting patiently for her decision, he gave her enough time to think about it and not wanting to rush her, he just leaned back, the smile back on his lips and just observing the people trapped in their own daily routine, day in, day out.

It truly made her smile when he said that he liked the idea of training together. Deep down, she was very excited about her chance to have a partner who was genuinely interested in training with her. Before, it was usually her training all alone, but it seemed like it was going to be different anytime soon. "Huh?" Teru blinked a couple of times when Rei started to laugh. She didn't recall making any jokes. "Did I say something funny?" Whatever it was, it wasn't insulting. Not even in the least. Despite not knowing what it was that Rei was laughing about, Teru found it a bit amusing. She didn't expect herself to be the unintentionally funny type. At least she was able to subconsciously bring a bit of humor into the moment. A good laugh was always beneficial, even if people would stare at them. After the fun of their time together was more or less over, Teru was relaxing again without any worries bothering her. Well, while talking to him, she wasn't really worrying about anything very serious. She just needed something more than sitting around to do. But, with the company Rei was providing.

Unfortunately, however, they ran out of dango. Her eyes briefly fell upon the empty box sitting on the bench. She would have to get more when they both are in need of something filling once again. "Hm?" Teru was brought back into attention mode. She heard him out and took his question into great consideration. He was wanting to know about any places that she may have been wanting to visit. That was actually a subject she needed to do some heavy thinking on. Of course, he undoubtedly meant a place in and around Kirigakure. Going to a whole different village would be too much. Although, she would like to visit someplace like Kumogakure at least once in her life, and the rest of the hidden villages out there, for that matter. "You know, I think I'd like to walk around anywhere. I'm not that picky about where I go." Teru paused a moment, realizing that there was one place in the village that she preferred staying away from. She had never been there before, only passing by. Yet, she was still able to understand the poor morality of that place. "Well... maybe that's not entirely true. As long as we don't bother with a certain... place, then I'm fine with anywhere."

Something funny? He thought to himself for a second. Really, to her it might’ve not been that funny, since she didn’t plan on it being that. But Rei couldn’t help but crack out a laughter for it. He shook his head in amusement, locking his blue eyes on Teru. “Not at all..” He began, arching his back for a bit in order to crack it; a sign that he’s been sitting still for quite an amount of time now. “I think that confidence you have in not being able to hold back is.. amazing.” In the middle of that sentence, he paused for just a moment. He wasn’t really sure in what words he could put it, but in the end just went with the word ‘amazing’. It did fit, however. He enjoyed seeing people that really had a lot of confidence to build on and it seems that Teru was no exception. Rei never thought of himself as one of those people. Silently, he does have the confidence but rarely speaks about it, usually saying it to the wrong people gets him into trouble. Then again, this is Teru we’re talking about, so figuring that there wouldn’t be any problems, he let himself loose and leak his confidence out. “Though, I have to say. Even though you’re a girl, I’m not the type that gives up a chance of victory.” He mentioned, even saying it with a slight wink, indicating that he’s just messing around to begin with. He’s definitely playing it safe, just in case Teru might actually kick his ass; he really wants to prevent that. Training with her didn’t have to be the first option what they’d do, though. That’s why he asked her if there were any places she’d like to visit, taking her opinion into consideration.

Turns out, like she mentioned, she’s not picky about where to go at all, but even though she already said there was one place she didn’t like to go, her behavior was expressing that, as well. This got him curious, actually, but he didn’t know if it would be wise to ask her about it. He didn’t know whether it was something emotional or even frightening, but even if he thought that he would be out of place to ask, he did speak up about it, as if he couldn’t control it. Curiosity. “Certain.. Place?” Only those two words were muttered, giving Teru completely the freedom to tell or to keep silent about it. Only previously thinking about if this was right or wrong, he only just now realized it. “Ah, if you don’t want to tell me, then that’s fine.” He quickly added onto it. He didn’t want to be put in a bad light, though, then again he might be overthinking things, but he couldn’t be certain of that, so for now he had to be careful with his words. At least, that’s how he felt. His blue eyes moved away from Teru, up to the blue sky above them, covered with just a couple of white clouds. “Of course, there are many of other places that Kirigakure has to offer. I don’t even know if I’ve been to all of the places just yet.” He ended it with a chuckle. He has been here for a while now, but only the places he had been to so far and he had taken a liking to were pretty much his usual spot, where he couldn’t be a bother to anyone else and just relax. Undoubtedly, Rei figured that Teru must have the knowledge about some interesting spots around, perhaps some that he hasn’t even been to yet. Patiently waiting for her response, he just watched birds land on the street, diving from the sky in order to get some leftover food that was scattered across the city.

He had shaken his head and denied that what she had said was funny, politely, and told her that he thought of it as something amazing. Her confidence, that is. But, that nearly had her laughing. The pause in his sentence made her think otherwise, but she chose to believe what he said. Amazing was something she wanted to be. Anything that she could do to fairly reach that goal would be done. "Well, thank you for that," she said in response to his complimenting thought, and explanation. He certainly had the personality of someone who could be considered amazing. With physical power and skill with jutsu, those had yet to be determined. During a time when they could get together for training, most likely. She would get to see what exactly it was Rei could do. Then he admitted to being one of those people who would not let the glory of winning slip through their fingers. Rei was teasing her, though, which was evident by the hint of a wink given by him. There was, no doubt, truth in what he was saying to her. "Hee, we're definitely going to have to see how we do against each other during a sparring match. I'm certainly looking forward to it."

As for where they were to go for the next time they met up, she still hadn't come up with a sollid idea. Kirigakure had its interesting places to go to, which was why she wasn't entirely caring about where she and Rei were to go in the first place. But, as she had mentioned before, there was one place she would never step foot into. "I suppose I should explain myself," Teru laughed nervously, and rubbed the back of her neck after having heard Rei out. Thinking about the place she hated the most was a pain in the neck. "I was meaning the Siren's Den, when I mentioned not wanting to bother with a certain place here in the village. That place... it is such a disgusting place. I haven't been in there before, but I've heard conversations about it." Teru shook her head and dismissed the thought of the Siren's Den before it could torture her even more. During the quiet moment, she brought her eyes up to stare at the sky overlooking the village. It was still a peaceful day, and early enough for the sun to stay with them.

She had been relaxing for a little while now, but it was about time that she got back to her duties. The time spent with Rei was certainly enjoyable. Meeting him and sticking around to converse was joyful, and she didn't regret a second of it. So, before it got to be too late, Teru stood up and stretched out her arms and legs. "Well, we're going to have to meet again, Rei," she said, turning to face Rei. "And when we do, we're going to have to train together and do some exploring. See you around, and thank you for taking the time to share the dango with me." A simple and kindhearted wave before walking away into the subsiding crowds of citizens. She had many plans made, but the ones she had with Rei would have their place in her schedule. The day they met again was going to be a very pleasant time; she just knew it.
