Syekren had been quietly sitting against the base of a long dead and sand whipped tree, near the border out of the land of wind. He was resting near a road, the road itself leading into the lands of Iwagakure no Sato. Syekren was wearing a black netted shinobi combat shirt with a white-grey  ANBU armor vest over it, and the same colored guards over his forearms and shins. He had a tattoo of the ANBU symbol upon his left shoulder while his right bicep had a burn scar of the Sunagakure no sato insignia down near the elbow. His shoulder length blue hair was pulled back into a pony-tail, to keep it at the back of his head and out of his eyes. His face was covered with a Porcelain mask in the likeness of a grinning yokai cat. The left eye hole of which had been recently repaired and one could tell, if looking close enough.  His eyepatch did not make an appearance today, but instead stayed home with the rest of his unneeded items.

I am Hizencho, I am an ANBU.

He was reading over four dossiers of targets who had recently left the village and were on their way towards the border. He had spent the better part of the day speaking to witnesses, sending salamanders to and fro, as well as seeking out the family of the four, which is how he came to understand their names, their personalities, as well as which he would need to take out first. The ANBU captain read over the reports he had written just hours before, scanning for anything someone said that he may have misunderstood. Seeing and thinking of nothing, Hizencho quietly closed the folder containing the four dossiers and pushed them into a small alcove in the trunk of the tree he was laying against.

I have to do this smart, there'll be four of them coming from the direction of the village. My best bet will be to seperate them and take them out, one by one. To do this, I'll have to set some trap, and perhaps use a transformation jutsu to surprise them. Or I could just wing it.

He quietly began to do handseals, forming two doppelgangers on either side of him, and quietly pointed for each one to go in a different direction and wait. He'd simply split them up, and conquer them as they were distracted. With the clones walking to get into places behind large dead trees on opposite sides of the road towards different paths, Hizencho quietly moved to lay down on the other side of a sand due, angled so that if needed he could look up for a peek quickly. He could see a few figures coming down the road and so he activated his Sharingan eye, and ducked down, waiting for the right moment.

It all happened as he wished it to, the group of four ninja came by, seeing two ninja on either side of the road, and began to panic amongst themselves at the sight of two ANBU. The clones Hizencho had made ran off in either direction, prompting Gomu and Chohokei to chase the clone that ran left while Dani himself ran after the clone going to the right. The only one who instantly had seen through the ruse was Kanpai, who had begun to look around the area, walking forward towards the border alone. This was the time for the ANBU to strike, while he was seperated from his friends. Hizencho climbed up from behind the dune, standing at his full height and walking towards the defector. He quietly whistled to arouse the other's ninja's attention who immediately turned to the approaching ANBU, beginning a string of handseals, while looking to the eye holes of the mask the ANBU wore. Hizencho began to slip into a genjutsu, his mind becoming slightly foggy. After a moment, he regained his composure, his Sharingan spinning around while he continued to step forth to his opponent.

"Your genjutsu will not affect me, scum. It's simple enough to see through, once you know how."

The feeling of being of foggy mind slipped away, and Hizencho pushed forward into a mad sprint towards his first foe. With precision and expert timing, he pushed the palm of his right hand into the stomach of the boy, to have him buckle forward, holding the now painful abdominal muscles. With this coming into effect, the ANBU quickly brought his knew up into the bottom of the ninja's jaw, to have him begin to fall backwards. Without waiting for a single instant, Hizencho quietly turned and lifted his leg, leaning his body sideways to let his leg extend with full force, effectively kicking from his hip into the chest of Kanpai, knocking him flat onto his back, laying in the sand and looking up at the sky. Quickly, the ANBU moved into the front of his face, leaning down and striking twice near the left side of the defector's temple, causing him to lose consciousness and fall into a sleep like state. With that done, Hizencho whistled for a salamander which came crawling out of the sand dunes and stopping next to his foot. He leaned down and whispered to it to send for someone to pick up the first ninja and stood once more, running in the direction of Chohokei and Gomu.

'An idiot and a weak hearted fool, this should be easy if I play it just right.'

As he was running, Syekren used his transformation jutsu, his body taking on the form and look of the recently knocked out Kanpai.

He reached Gomu and Chohokei without any trouble, just as the clone was dispersing. That meant that he had to work fast and deal with the two of them before the Kenjutsu kid caught onto the ruse and rushed back over to them. As he hoped, the larger one, Gomu, noticed him running up to them and came over to talk to him. He seemed to have a look of genuine concern about his face that betrayed him and made it so much easier for Hizencho to prey on him. Poor Gomu, he was large, but he was stupid and couldn't tell any difference between Hizencho and the real Kanpai, which would definitely make this whole little mission a that much easier."Hey, Kanpai! Are you alright? You stayed behind while we chased this guy out here, but he seems to have just been a clone or maybe he disappeared! Did you find anything else when you were near the border? Are we almost out of this place yet?"

So innocent, so simple.

Hizecho cleared his throat before he spoke, trying to choose his words carefully convince these two that fighting was useless and that they should just retreat to the village, but how could he do that? He could simply tell them he changed his mind, but that probably wouldn't work. They'd become suspicious and possibly try to go to the border themselves, before the other ninja could take Kanpai back. He could tell them he was afraid and wanted to stay in the village with his family, but of course that would probably be out of character too and as such, arouse even more suspicion. There had to be a good way to deceive them in time for Hizencho to incapacitate the other man and complete his mission. But how? It was a mere moment before a thought came to his head and he inwardly grinned. A lie that would be so much easier to fake, and would convince Chohokei that it wasn't worth  trying, effectively convincing Gomu as well.

"There are too many ninja just past the border gates. I took a quick look and saw at least six ANBU operatives as well as fifteen normal Shinobi. I overheard one say that if we make it to that point that we're to be killed. For now, I think we should return to the village, and plot this out better."

"But, what about our freedom?" It was Chohokei who spoke up to Kanpai, his eyes watching the man in front of him. "Isn't that why we did this? To be free from this village and to make it in a world with no fighting?"

"If your freedom is more important than your life, go on. Otherwise, let's go back to the village. I'm going to find Dani and let him know."

The two looked at each other and sighed, moving their way back to the village, to turn themselves in. Hizencho smirked to himself as he watched them. 'Just one more rat to deal with.' Or so he thought. Dani had returned and stopped the other two in their tracks, and asked them what they were doing. They explained what the man who seemed to be Kanpai had said and this prompted Dani to investigate. Syekren had forgotten about his Sharingan and he quickly deactivated it as Dani came over. The other two may not be smart enough to notice, but the Kenjutsu kid would be.

"So, there's essentially a platoon awaiting us just beyond the border?"

"Yea, and so I decided I'd rather live for now, we can always try again another day, when we've planned this out better, and come better equipped."

"I suppose you're right." The man with the sword sighed and turned back, moving to his comrades, who all waited on Hizencho to follow. The disguised shinobi sighed inwardly and followed them into the village gates, where shinobi were waiting with the unconscious Kanpai, and took the defectors into custody. Upon seeing their knocked out friend, the others turned back to Hizencho who had dispelled his transformation. They saw that they had been tricked by a member of the ANBU and angrily began to yell, but for naught. They were taken away by shinobi and Hizencho walked towards the Kage manse to turn in another mission.
