Kuro was walking around the village, with his eyes trained on his book. Where was he going exactly? Well he had no clue, he was actually going in whatever direction the wind was going. It gave him something to do besides learning how to flay someone from the book he had in his possession at the moment. He borrowed it from the library, the librarian was rather surprised that he wanted to read it, she claimed that nobody had used that book since the most recent person to join the I&I department.

This came as no surprise to Kuro, most of the people who had the stomach to even /look/ at a book like this were in that department. He himself planned on joining that department once he was given the opportunity, and maybe earning the title Special Jounin because of his specialization in 'Intelligence Gathering.' He looked up from his book to find he was in arguably the most beautiful part of Konoha, 'The Hills huh? I guess I should just sit here.'

He went over to a hill overlooking a stream, it was flanked on both sides by trees a few feet away from it. He sat on the top of the hill, laying on the grass and reading his book, enjoying the relative quiet found from this little section of Konoha.

Amaya had decided to amuse herself a while earlier. She'd placed her newest book in her pocket and had taken to jumping from stone to stone through the stream. Her motivation for no falling was simple; if she fell her book would get wet and ruined, and she hadn't finished reading it yet. A hop. A skip. Another hop, and a step. She paused for a moment, red gaze sweeping over the current area she was in. She had a feeling she wasn't alone, and sure enough she spotted Kuro.

She took a moment to look above her, momentarily pausing long enough to map out a route out of the stream the driest way possible. She bent her knees and jumped upwards, grabbing onto a branch and swinging herself up on it. Once standing she walked her way along the tree branch until she was finally over the dry land. She then sat herself down on the branch, dangling her legs.

Kuro glanced from his book, he sensed that someone else was near, although the presence felt familiar. He didn't have to be a sensor to look and see Amaya sitting on a tree branch. Deciding to go over to her, he used the 'Shunshin' Jutsu to poof away and re-appear underneath the branch. Leaning against a side of a tree as he still had his eyes on his book, "Hey, Amaya-Sensei." He yawned a bit and flipped the page of his book.

"Hello, Kuro." She looked down upon him from her overhead branch, pausing a moment to look to the book in his hand. "Still reading?", her voice held curiousity, and also a bit of praise. She highly enjoyed watching others enjoy books as much as she did, being a bit of a nerd herself. So, finding someone else that liked to have their nose in a book as much as she was a great thing in her eyes. She swung her legs a bit back and forth as she remained on the sturdy branch. She removed her own book from her pocket, running her fingers along the cover of it as it rested on her lap. Just another medical book she had gotten her hands on.

Kuro nodded, walking up the tree and then getting onto the branch, taking a place next to Amaya. He showed her the book, "Not allot of people would even look at this book, but it's on my favorite subject, not to mention I just like reading in general." The title made it blatantly obvious what it's subject was, Interrogation methods, from simple things to the most brutal ones that would make someone of a weak constitution vomit. The title being 'An intermediate guide on gathering information, from civilians to prisoners.' There was no name indicating an author, probably because he didn't want his name to be shown on such a book.

Amaya glanced at the book when he showed her it, a white eyebrow raising in curiosity as she took in the title. "Ah, I see. Seems like it'd make some interesting reading." She tapped on the book on her lap with her pointer finger of her right hand, her nail making a soft clicking sound against it as she did so. "I just got this earlier today." The title was simple enough 'Their Body and You', it also had no author. Easily enough, it was filled with varies medical techniques to be used against someone both in combat and otherwise. "It's proved to be an interesting read so far." She gave a half smile at that, a bit of the more sadistic part of her own personality coming out for a moment before she replaced the look back with the same emotionless mask she usually wore, though her lack of any sort of disgust towards Kuro's book probably spoke a bit of her sadistic side anyway.

Kuro gave an eerily dark sounding chuckle. He himself had an extremely sadistic, blood thirsty, side to him. He remembered how he killed that rogue ninja once, he had actually come to enjoy that particular memory, as it was probably the most brutal kill he had ever made. "I'll need to look into getting a copy. I'm sure it'll go well with my book." It got him thinking, he should probably learn some medical Jutsu so he can incorporate it into interrogations, the more slow, brutal, and painful he could be, the better, and it'd only get better if he could /heal/ the vic-Subject, then start all over again. "I've been meaning to look into medical Jutsu as it is, for..Particular reasons." One could guess at what those reasons were.

Amaya chuckled herself. "It definitely makes an interesting study...Comes in handy, too." That of course was an understatement in her world, she loved it more then almost anything else. She took a moment to open up her book, flipping through a few pages, most of it was text, but the pictures that were there had a great deal of graphic detail to them. After a few more flips she closed the book up and slipped it back into her pocket. "If you don't mind waiting until I'm finished I can simply give you mine when I'm finished with it. I'm sure you'll find it interesting." It was an offer, she didn't mind. Usually once she'd read a book she had it all but memorized by the time she was done with it. "I'm always more then willing to pass on books to others who'd enjoy them."

Kuro nodded, "As am I. I'll take you up on that offer, I need to finish this book anyways." The young Sarutobi reached in his satchel that was around his leg and produced an apple, biting into it, he was never far from his favorite fruit. "Have you ever interrogated someone?" He questioned, he had a few times, he enjoyed it each time. It was more of a curiosity to ask her then anything. He took another bite of his apple, opening his book with his other hand and reading a new chapter, it had a picture that was also brutal in detail, possibly worse then what Amaya's book had.

"Can't say that I have. But, I did have to handle the ending results of one." Boy, had that been a mess. The guy had barely made it, and it had been pure luck that she'd been able to save his life in the condition he'd been brought to her in. "He was a mess to say the least." She looked at the page his book was open to, eyebrow raising in curiosity. "Interesting...", she muttered whether to herself or him was undetermined. After a moment she stretched needlessly, she just simply enjoyed the odd feeling she got when pulling her muscles tight. A groan of satisfaction came from her. "I'll probably have that book to you by tomorrow or so, depending on if something ends up coming up by then or not that could distract me from it."

Kuro nodded, "Allright." He watched as a bird, a hawk by the looks of it, flew around and landed on the branch with them. It was just a normal hawk, not a summon, seeing as he was sure neither of them had a summoning contract as of now. He finished his apple and put the core in his satchel for later removal, he put his nose in his book for now.

Amaya's gaze also moved to the hawk, staring at it for a moment. After about ten seconds or so she looked away, taking a moment to look over the rest of the area now. She paused another moment and then reached back into her pocket, pulling her book back out and flipping it open towards the end, having dog-eared the page she'd last been on. "Might get done today with how little I have left to read...", she muttered, gaze already flying over the words. She paused another moment, an idea forming into her head. "Maybe I'll give the others some reading homework.. see how they do with gathering information and putting it into use...", she mused out loud.

Kuro smirked, "Maybe make them read the books we're reading, see if they learn something from them." He had to admit, it'd be hilarious to see their reactions to the two gruesome books. Given Kou seemed rather innocent when it came to such a thing, as did Giketsu. The Hawk flew its way over next to Kuro, who glanced at it then looked back to Amaya, "After all, they're the ones that need to learn. I'm a Chunin and your a Special Jounin"

The idea sure did have some merit to it. The life of a ninja could be gruesome and horrible, and living a sheltered life sure didn't prepare you for the horrors the world offered. She tilted her head a bit in thought, slipping her book back into her pocket before allowing herself to fall backwards until her bent legs caught on the tree, leaving her hanging there upside down. "I'm definitely going to consider it... nothing worse then getting into a fight, coming across a nasty wound or some such and losing yourself because you're unprepared for such a thing." She allowed her legs at this point to slip from the branch, causing her to flip in midair before landing rather lightly on her feet on the ground below. "Hmm.."

Kuro nodded, standing and jumping off, his coat catching wind slightly as he hit the ground, his book now open, reading it, "So what were you doing out here in the first place Amaya?" He asked, wondering what she was doing out here before he came across her. The hawk moved it's position and took off, circling around the area for whatever reason. Kuro didn't notice or want to question it.

Amaya shrugged a bit, glancing over towards the water. "I like to turn everything into a challenge, and in my boredom I challenged myself simply to stay on the rocks, no matter how slippery or small they might be." She shrugged again. "The goal in mind was to keep myself from falling of course and ruining my new book. Of course, it's not as hard as it once was when I was younger, but still, something to do after all." She glanced around a bit at that point. "I also was hoping to come across my brother... "

Kuro nodded, not prying any further, he leaned against a tree, looking towards the lake in question, "It seems to be a valid way of challenging yourself..Maybe you should do it with one arm and one leg tied behind your back?" He wasn't one to do challenges himself, but he'd certainly make ones harder for others.

Amaya smirked a bit, and chuckled. "I actually did that once... I was about seven or so. I was doing pretty good till another kid came and pushed me in...." She leaned her shoulder against a nearby tree, taking a moment to pick at her nails more in boredom then caring what they possibly looked like. "I beat his ass pretty bad..." That of course was an understatement, it was one of those rare moments she'd just let her rage reign over her. She'd surprised herself with what she'd done, and had vowed never to lose it like that again - at least over such a petty reason that is. She smiled slyly. "He never pushed me in again, lets just leave it at that." Mentally she added 'He never came to school again after that, either.'
