Hikaru Ai

D-rank
Hikaru Ai, Sky Point, the perfect combination...
Hikaru was jogging on a path, wearing his signature scarf and gray-brown jacket, he was breathing hard, and as was normal for all breath, it came out in a white fog formed by cold. As always, Hikaru was training, building his endurance on Sky Peak as he would soon find out that he enjoyed doing. It was enjoyable because, even though Kumo's sky was dull as always today, he could look down at the village, as if he was protecting everyone.
"Today's so great!", he sighed, jogging in place and stretching his triceps at the same time...

A slight flash could be seen in the distance. It was followed by a somewhat angry shout. "Dang it...!" The shout echoed and could most likely be heard by anyone nearby. Skye was standing on a flat surface and seemed to be practicing a few jutsus. He cracked his neck once and started another sequence of hand signs. After he was done, he put both palms out and an electric discharge fired out. It was somewhat small and didn't go far. It did create a flash of light though. "Ugh... I swear I'm never going to get this." He took a deep breath in and sighed. It seemed he was unaware of anyone who could be near him, but the thought never crossed his mind.

As Sky Point was a very echo provoking place, Hikaru heard the crack and the exclamation as soon as it had happened, stopping mid-jog, and dropping his triceps stretch, he looked up, trying to locate the sound. He glanced at the mountain peak one last time before changing his route to the way back down to the village, where he was sure he would find the source of all this noise. Hikaru concentrated on his Katon (Fire Style) chakra element so that his hands lit with heat. Using this, Hikaru concentrated harder, making the heat travel throughout his body, and with that, he was off!
"Hello!?", he would call, it was sort of a warning to whoever was making a ruckus...

A voice echoed back to him as he was preparing another jutsu. Skye broke his concentration and looked back to the source of the other voice. "Oh come on... don't tell me this is another place I'm not allowed..." He squinted and saw a faint figure running towards him. From his perspective, it looked like it was charging him. Almost like it wanted to catch him. "Oh crap!" He turned and started to sprint down the path. Only reason he was running was because he feared that it was a higher ranked ninja and out to catch him. As he ran, he could hear the footsteps behind him growing closer and closer. "Crap, crap, crap, crap!!"

Hikaru, since he was being trained in the kicking art of Tae Kwon Do, had very strong legs, and seemed to be gaining on this boy who continuously ran away from him. Was this guy seriously a ninja? Hikaru would never run away from somebody.
Wait, I'm friendly!", he called, racing after Skye with his arms out behind him, and his hands shaped as if they were squeezing some invisible thing, this was usually how ninja ran anyways, so Hikaru looked perfectly normal...

Skye heard the voice once more. "Friendly?" He thought to himself before stopping completely. It took him a few moments of thinking before he slowed his pace to a complete halt. As soon as he stopped he was able to get a better look at the person. "Oh... I thought you were a Jounin..." He laughed to himself slightly. "Normally people don't run at others when they don't expect it. Scared me a bit." Skye looked up and was now able to see this new person. "Uh... Guess I should introduce myself... My name is Skye Nekito." He grinned and put out one hand. It was somewhat odd how someone that you randomly meet can change their attitude so quickly. As for Skye, this was something somewhat common.

Hikaru shook Skye's hand and then lowered his hand back to his side. When he heard the word Nekito, he nodded his head, "Ahh...a member of a fellow clan...", Hikaru said, bowing his head a little, "My name is Hikaru Ai, of the Ai Clan", he replied, smiling warmly at Skye.
"So, what're you doing in these parts?", he asked, as he was usually the only one who trained near Sky Point's summit.

"Well... Yeah, I'm part of the Nekito clan... We arriv-..." Before he said anything else, he quickly answered Hikaru's question. Skye brought both hands up and rested them on the back of his head. "Well... I've been wandering around Kumo for a bit and decided to see if anything interesting was up here. That's when I decided to see if I could work on some jutsus... And shortly after that, here you come running at me." He grinned and took a quick glance behind him. The fog started to disperse slightly, but it was still there. "I should ask you the same question though. What are you doing on top of this mountain? Judging on how you look right now, I'd say training...? Right?"

Hikaru nodded, "Just a normal morning marathon!", he said, as Skye reminded him, so he began jogging in place, "Would you like to come along?" Hikaru asked, slow to realize the grin on Skye's face, "It's a great way to practice moving while using jutsu!", Hikaru used this to coax sky, even if he knew it was true.
Hikaru continuously jogged in place to pass the time, just in case Skye was slow to answer him.

"Come along...?" Skye looked past Hikaru ans stared at his previous spot for a few seconds. He then brought his attention back to Hikaru himself, who was now jogging in place. "Eh, sure. Why not? It's not like I have anything better to do at the moment." His medium sized grin grew slightly as he stretched his arms and legs out. It was obvious that he was going to be doing some running if he went with this new person. Limbering up before doing so was probably a good idea on Skye's part. "I'm ready when you are." Putting one foot in front of the other, he got ready to start off when Hikaru was ready.

Hikaru nodded, still jogging, "I suggest you stretch a little more, it'll decrease any risk of pulling a muscle...", he said, he had been doing this for ages, and had hurt himself multiple times taking the Sky Point route to the summit, which got steeper as you went along, but Hikaru had already been running, so he was all stretched out. Hikaru waited silently while jogging, he wanted to make sure Skye stretched just a little extra times, so his first marathon wouldn't be ruined...

Skye

D-rank
"Alright then." Skye took the advice and stretched for a bit longer. There were a few cracks and pops occasionally when he stretched his spine and neck. He exhaled quietly every time something cracked. "That should be good enough." He grinned and resumed a running position. "Like I said before, I'm ready to go when you are." It seemed like SKye was going to try to make the most out of thus random encounter. This might also give him a chance to figure out what this person is like, perhaps even befriending this guy. He decided to try multitasking when they got started. His plan was to ask the guy questions and still focus on the run at the same time.

Hikaru nodded, giving Skye one last glance before starting off at a quick jog, whether Skye was following him or not, he said, "We'll start off at this pace, and gradually get faster!", he called back, he was really fired up, and enjoying himself on this dull winter day in Kumo...

Skye

Skye

D-rank
"Sounds good to me." Skye quickly ran up and matched Hikaru's speed. He wasn't having any trouble at all with keeping up. Skye was a pretty fast runner, but he never really stressed it whenever he did any personal training. It would usually be him working on jutsus and such. "So what's all this about a marathon? You sound pretty excited about it." Some of the fog on the mountain lifted and made visibility a bit better.

Hikaru Ai

Hikaru Ai

D-rank
"Nothing!", Hikaru said, "Just your normal morning run! I call it a marathon, makes it sound more exciting...", he mutttered in mock boredom, as they reached the first part of the slope, Hikaru began to move a little faster, he was sure Skye would at least be able to keep up with him for the time being...

Skye

Skye

D-rank
Skye laughed quietly at Hikaru's comment. "I guess that's an interesting way to look at it." He saw the slight change in the path ahead and picked his pace up. It still wasn't too difficult, so he was completely able to stay next to Hikaru. "So you're part of the Ai Clan? Have you and your clan been in Kumo a while?" It seemed somewhat obvious that Skye was trying to get to know him.

Hikaru Ai

D-rank
Hikaru laughed back, he was warming up to this boy that he'd never met, that was when he heard the question, "I'm not sure...", he said, "But I believe my clan came to be at about the end of the fourth great ninja war, when our founder decided to create a clan that used specifically Taijutsu...I'm part of the head family...", Hikaru muttered silently, "I also know that my clan is the leader of teaching Chuunin and up Taijutsu skills...", Hikaru finished, smiling and scratching the back of his neck, "But it's all so confusing, I'm never really sure", it was true, Hikaru barely had listened to the Elders' stories of the clan's past...

Skye

Skye

D-rank
"Cool... My clan is kind of cold towards others they don't know... I'm the odd one out since I like to meet everyone... You'll easily spot us because of the purple face paint." Skye paused for a second to make sure he didn't trip on the slope. It didn't take long before he was able to regain his balance. "We're all about Genjutsu. Deceiving opponents and all that. You could even be in one right now and not even notice." He shook his head and laughed to show he was only kidding. Skye grew silent before talking once more. "We came here from Suna not to long ago... I've been trying to get used to the change of scenery... Especially the weather..."

Hikaru Ai

D-rank
Hikaru laughed, the Nekito clan had in fact only been word in town gossip for a month or so, or whenever the Nekitos had come to Kumo, "So what brought you here?", Hikaru asked, cocking his head slightly as he ran along the ever steepening slope, he began to pick up the pace, because he was getting bored of the previous pace...

Skye

Skye

D-rank
Skye saw the slope becoming even more steep and how Hikaru was speeding up even more. Yet again, he sped up as well and caught up. He tilted his head and glanced at Hikaru when he wasn't too busy dealing with the slope. "Well that's just it! My dad never gave me a reason! And he's the clan leader! Out of all the people that should know, it'd be him!" Skye switched his view back to the uneven path, but still talked. "It probably had to do with something related to use of Suna...! We might get more use here in Kumo then anywhere else." He was glad that Hikaru was understanding of his situation.

D-rank
Hikaru nodded, "That's good...The only reason my clan's still useful is because the train some Chuunin in hand to hand combat, and at about the end of the Fourth Great Ninja War, they defended the village with powerful kicks and whatnot...", Hikaru said, grinning, he decided that the pace they were currently moving at was a keeper, and he would keep this up for a while...

Skye

D-rank
"I never really understood Taijutsu... To me it's just punching and kicking with a bit of style and flair. Though I can't say much about it since I'm not good at it. I'm better with predicting what people will do and how they think after a while. Like for you... I'd say your on the goofy side like me. And considering you laughed at one of my lesser jokes, you like joking around like me as well. But then again that's just my opinion." Skye laughed slightly and took his attention off the path for a quick moment. A bit a mistake on his part since he stumbled on a loose rock and nearly fell. He re-gained his balance and laughed at himself.

Hikaru chuckled, "If you feel like practicing at the summit, I'll show you Taijutsu mixed with a bit of Ninjutsu! Then you'll see what Taijutsu really is...", Hikaru said, smiling at Skye, he ignored the fact that only moments ago, Skye could have fallen to his doom, but he shrugged, it hadn't happened, why care?

"I'm absolutely fine with training at the summit. I came up here to train anyway." Skye wasn't going to look at Hikaru until he was positive he wasn't going to fall. He looked ahead and saw that the summit was a bit closer than he thought. Eventually, both of them reached the top. The cloud line wasn't a problem anymore now that they were above it. "Wow... It looks awesome up here..." Skye walked over to the edge and started to admire the view. "So anyway, back to that training idea of yours. What do you have in mind?"

Hikaru laughed, not making fun of Skye, but because he liked Skye's determination, but Hikaru wouldn't go down easily...

"Wow... It looks awesome up here..."

Hikaru nodded, looking out across the sea of clouds as if he was proud of every single one, "Isn't it?", he sighed, taking in a deep cold breath...

"So anyway, back to that training idea of yours. What do you have in mind?"

"Well I was thinking that we could sort of get the loose rocks out of the perimiter of this area, and then put them up as a sort of fence since I think we both don't have Earth Style jutsus to move them..., Hikaru chuckled, cutting to the chase, "Basically I wanted to have a friendly spar using Taijutsu and weak Ninjutsu, you know...", Hikaru muttered...
