Sanosuke

D-rank
“Awesome job Sanosuke-sempei!”

“Whoa is that?”

“Yeah to think that’s the Wasp Sennin of Kumo is coming here of all places.”

“Wow, Kumo’s Buzzing Swordsman. What an honor!”

Those were the snippets of conversation that Sanosuke heard as he made his way through the streets of Kirigakure. Already dressed in his armored clothing and his bronze gauntlets, Sanosuke had his sword on his back as he walked through the streets of Kiri. Navi had already seen most of what Kiri had to offer and had got used to the sites. Sanosuke forgot how much of a good memory that his partner had of things she’s seen. They’ve only been here for a few days and Navi already had an etched map of the village hidden in the mist in her mind. Whenever the jounin would get lost, the wasp that was always on his side would tell Sanosuke where exactly he should go to get to his destination that he needed to get to. Sanosuke was sure glad that he had a personal GPS in the form of a floating ball of light that made the sound of tiny bells with every single swooping movement it made in the air. It came in handy when Sanosuke had to navigate through the streets of the hidden village when there were a number of people whom would geek over to Sanosuke in high hopes of just touching him or to talk to him. There would be moments where Sanosuke wished that he wasn’t so well known for his service to the Kiri Alliance against Seven Bells’ forces. The only reason why Sanosuke fought so hard for the hidden village of the mist was due to his travels. Thanks to his travels, Sanosuke had gained a loyalty to all people. Village alliances, ties, factions, sex, age, or any other demographic meant very little to Sanosuke. No matter which country he went to, they were all so kind to him and treated him as though he was one of their own; despite that he was an outsider and not native to their country. If there was someone in trouble and the chance of a mass amount of lives would be lose, Sanosuke would fight to protect those who cannot stand on their own feet. This drive was what made Sanosuke strong enough to complete mission after mission after mission after mission to protect the people of Kiri. It didn’t matter that they were from a different village from Sanosuke. People were still people, and those people had loved ones to go back to. If it meant sacrificing his body for the cause of letting all people in the village hidden in the mist to escape this war in one piece, then he would do so in a heartbeat.

For that reason, each time Sanosuke went out into the battlefield with the other shinobi from the other villages they all saw the resolve in his eyes to protect everyone. Village nativity many nothing to Sanosuke and they saw it in his actions. It was the reason why he completed multiple missions that would strike a crucial blow to Seven Bells’ forces. Even though the shinobi that were fighting under Seven Bells names was killing his allies and most of them were fighting under the illusion that Seven Bells casted upon them that once the tycoon rules of the village hidden in the mist they would have a better life than what they have previously, it still didn’t ignore the fact that these men were crucial to Seven Bells’ plans to taking over Kiri. In order to get to Seven Bells, he must assist Kiri in destroying the enemy forces. Many people would wonder why he showed such compassion to these shinobi that Sanosuke was ordered to kill. The answer was simple, he hated the thought that he was responsible of leaving another family fractured and broken. Each slash of his blade ensured the jounin that such a thing would occur, and every time thus far his swords never proved him wrong. A contract of blood was splattered on the ground, the blood was taken from the unfortunate souls that would fight against him on the battlefield. He felt a pain in his chest whenever he looked in the eyes of those that were before him. When killed in combat, Sanosuke saw the way the people he killed; they remembered exactly whom killed as the exact moment of death as they let the reaper take them away from this world. This pain would just be his own fuel to drive him to keep pushing forward in his missions to get closer and closer to Seven Bells. When he gets the chance, Sanosuke would make sure to use his own two hands to end the life of the tycoon that only saw his soldiers that he was sending out like cannon fodder against Kiri. Someone that used their own soldiers that had their own families and lives to live for their own purposes without any empathy towards the lives they were sending out didn’t deserve any form of mercy whatsoever.

For now he had yet another mission to complete for the cause of dealing yet another critical blow to Seven Bells’ forces. He was called on for the completion of the mission in the usual format on how he would be given missions. From the numerous times he took missions for Kiri, he noticed that there was one messenger that would come to his apartment near the administration building of the mist. The messenger was a chuunin from the village hidden in the mist that went by the name of Rose. She looked to be in her late teen years but had the body of someone much older and bustier than her age described; he should know because she showed him ever curve that she had to offer him over other nights of him fighting for Kiri. There was something about girls with white hair that Sanosuke couldn’t quite shake off his list of fetishes. Rose came by today and delivered him another scroll that had the details of his next assignment that he had to complete for Kiri. She kissed him on the cheek and walked away from him after making her delivery to the man she spent the night a few days ago. Smirking at it he began reading the contents of the scroll so he can take in the details of the mission he was given this time for him to do. Thanks to the numerous high level missions he completed under Kiri’s name against Seven Bells, Kiri was sending him high leveled missions that needed to be completed by someone of high rank like him. If any mission that determined the position of winning this war was created, Sanosuke was one of the few shinobi that was selected in the first place. Taking a look at the scroll, Sanosuke let out a sigh at the read the mission of what he had to do this time. It looked to mean that he would be doing some major damage to Seven Bells’ forces. From the sound of the mission if it was successful, then Kiri would have a major advantage the following day of combat.

“The enemy will no doubt be seeking an escape, so, setting a trap for the next encounter will put a hole in their plans… take these paper bombs, and plant them in a part of the ship which would deal the most damage. "

Even though this mission sounded like something that would be very beneficial for Kiri to winning this war, Sanosuke wondered if he was cut out for this mission. A shinobi, by default, were taught at a young age on how to be very discrete and silent from the very first couple of classes at the ninja academy. It didn’t matter where you came from. Stealth was always an art that must be mastered before graduating the ninja academy. Even so, Sanosuke always did prefer fighting with his bare hands and not worry about staying hidden from the enemy. Reading the second portion of his scroll, Sanosuke saw the part where he referenced the part about paper bombs. There was a tiny seal on it that most likely held the paper bombs needed for said mission that he was deployed on. Swiping his thumb on the seal, the seal itself was glowing with a small blue light and just like that it poofed out a cloud of smoke from the seal covering the entire scroll in a tiny smoke cloud. When the smoke dispersed into the air to clear his vision of what Sanosuke was holding in his hands. It held a pack of paper bombs that he needed for his mission. These paper bombs were vital for the mission and having to unseal them and seal them would be too much of a hassle in the middle of the mission so he decided it would be best for him to put it on his person during his mission. After he was done gearing up for his mission, Sanosuke looked to Navi.

”Navi, this is going to be a stealth mission. So in the meantime watch a movie on TV.” Sanosuke said quickly before Navi could object. He turned on the TV for her to watch a movie about Yuki Minora in the Princess of Flames. It was a blockbuster hit in Kiri and Kumogakure about a woman whom tries to find love among royalty, but she was cursed by a witch where she burns anything that she touches. Fortunate for Sanosuke that Navi was really into motion pictures so that would keep her occupied while he was on the mission. If everything went according to plan, Sanosuke would be back before sunset for breakfast with his partner.  Before he would even get a single bite of food, he would take some much needed sleep. Maybe he might even invite Rose over the night; by then Navi should be sleeping so he wouldn’t have to worry about waking up his partner.

On that note, Sanosuke took off from his apartment building and into the streets of Kiri where he was bombarded by comments from the citizens of Kiri and members of the Kiri shinobi alliance against Seven Bells that happened to be in the area. When he got to the gates of the village hidden in the mist, Sanosuke made sure he was far enough before taking off to get towards enemy lines where there should be ships near the surrounding islands that were close to the border of Mizu no Kuni. Rain fell down from the sky and began pelting his skin harshly as he ran through the forest of the country. When he noticed that he was no longer in friendly territory, Sanosuke slowed down his running so that he would be able to observe his surroundings in case that he would run into more shinobi while traveling towards the naval fleet that was on the shore of their side of the Water Country. There was only a few times where he came too close to being discovered. If he got discovered by the enemy shinobi, Sanosuke would have no problem defeating him. But the thing is, if he didn’t have a preemptive attack then it would be a straight battle between him and the hostile shinobi; which will cause to much noise and commotion in the forest. No doubt attract more forces to investigate the noise and that would blow his cover for the mission he was given to do. Stealth was the key to this mission being a success. So swiftly and quietly, Sanosuke snaked his way through enemy lines to get to the harbor where stationed, was a number of naval fleets made out of iron unlike the typical ships he saw that comprised of wood. On the helm of the ship was the insignia of Seven Bells in black paint.

Slipping past the guards, Sanosuke was hiding behind a small outhouse that was used as base camp for the soldiers that manned the ships nearby them. If he wanted to get in the ship, then he was going to need a disguise. Closing his eyes, Sanosuke focused lightning chakra to develop around his body. IT made his body spark as his eye opened up with his mighty kekkei genkei being awakened. He had to make this brief as he waited for a lone shinobi to come out of the hiding so that he can ambush him. The ambush would have to be quick so that nobody would notice the flash of his lightning chakra bustling around his body. Just like that a shinobi that looked to be around his height and size came in and began waddling towards the door of the outpost. Alcohol hung in his breath that was so strong that Sanosuke could smell the strong aroma from the place he was hiding. The man was obviously drunk so this made his ambush that much easier. When he got close to the outhouse where he was hiding in, Sanosuke sped towards the drunk before he got too close to the outpost where if he got attacked, the occupants of the outpost would notice that one of their own shinobi was taken down. Holding the man’s throat tightly with lightning charka going through his throat, Sanosuke stunned the man in a frenzy of chakra in make the man go limp in his hand. The shock that Sanosuke had just administered to the shinobi wasn’t enough to kill but enough to stun and thus knock unconscious. Before the man had the chance to fall out from the ground with a large thump, Sanosuke caught him and dragged him in the hiding place he was in before he jumped the man. With the man passed out, Sanosuke took off the clothing of the man so he was only in his underwear. Taking off his own clothing, Sanosuke sealed his clothing and armor into a scroll so that he would have it on him a tall times. With his belongings in his scrolls, the jounin continued to putting on the unconscious enemy shinobi’s clothes. Fortunately the clothing was somewhere close to his size, a bit too big for him but he’ll live, so Sanosuke was sure that he would be able to get past the guards without drawing too much attention to himself.

The man should be unconscious for about 2 hours before he awokened to find that his clothing was gone. It wouldn’t take long before he put two and two together to discover that he was ambushed by the enemy shinobi; but then again he was pretty drunk, so he might be a bit slow to realize what had happened. Even so Sanosuke couldn’t take any chances with that long shot of a guess. He had to move fast and precise. With that being said, Sanosuke walked over with his disguise on to one of the ships that was in the harbor. At some point, Sanosuke needed to find the blueprint of the ships so that he can find the exact place where the explosive tags would cause the most damage. He would do so by repeating the same action he did with the drunk. While walking on the ship, Sanosuke noticed just what was before him. Around him was several shinobi with swords of high quality like his dual blades that was hidden from the public for now. It was obvious that these shinobi were stronger than your average Seven Bells’ shinobi. No matter how skilled he was, if Sanosuke made one mistake these shinobi would spring on him and he’d be killed in a single instant. Walking over to one group, Sanosuke made sure that his voice was changed differently in case someone could identify his voice.

”Hey you wouldn’t happen to know where there mechanic is? I think I might’ve…sprung a leak in the bathroom…” Sanosuke began to say with faking hiccups and few slurred words in his throat trying to give the illusion of a drunk that was desperately trying to cover up a mistake like a child that had made a mess and was trying to clean it up so nobody would see it. ”Throw a nigga a bone….” Sanosuke whispered to one of them while fake stumbling on one shinobi of the group. The shinobi caught Sanosuke before he could hit the ground while the Kumogakure jounin was laughing like a madman with hiccups thrown in every now and then. Finally the shinobi had just enough he could bear of the drunkard shinobi and pushed Sanosuke off of him. Sanosuke barely got balanced and suddenly fell on his back laughing hard before stopping. He continued to roll on his stomach and look at the shinobi that tossed him. ”Don’t be like that maynnne. I….love you” Sanosuke moaned with a couple of hiccups here and there as he crawled up to the man whom he was trying to clutch to the man;s legs drawing circles on the man’s boots. “Get the fuck off of me! Fine then, he’s down there through the corridor on the right!”

”I wanna make you feel like a little girl babyyyyy~~” Sanosuked sneered as he began kissing the feet of the man’s boots. The man got so pissed and kicked Sanosuke while he was groveling at his feet in the most annoying manner. Sanosuke was sent flying backwards at the kick and hit the railing hard in the back of the metallic pole. “If you touch me like that again, I’ll slash you into pieces.” The man barked angrily before walking away from Sanosuke with his comrades following shortly behind the pissed off shinobi. When they were far enough from Sanosuke, the jounin picked himself up from the ground and smirked while wiping the blood that was on his face from the kick. ”Hook line and sinker.” Sanosuke sneered as he made his way near the mechanic of the ship which was in the direction of where those shinobi directed him towards.

Walking over to where the mechanic was, Sanosuke walked down the corridor of the ship’s main haul to where there was a bunch of gears and other machinery. So this was the core of the ship. Sanosuke must have angered the man to the point where the shinobi must have pointed him in the direction of the ship’s heart without thinking about it. In the defense of the angry shinobi, he must have believed that the mechanic was where the most crucial part of the ship was since it was his job to fix it in case the need arises. But walking in here, there was no one else in the current location he was in. The mechanic must be on break, so that left him time to act. Getting out his paper bombs, Sanosuke got to work and began placing the explosive tags on areas of the main chambers of the machinery. In a few minutes, there were about 3 explosive tags planted in the area that would go off whenever it was right to do so.

Taking a look at his work, Sanosuke nodded in approval at what he had been able to do. Getting his jutsu ready, Sanosuke transformed into a woman in the same shinobi attire. Walking out of the room, Sanosuke walked through the corridor and off the ship while getting to the next ship that was right next to the ship that he had just rigged. In his hands was the blueprints of the ship he had just rigged. Consdiering that all of the ships of the harbor were identical and thus the same model, the rooms should all be the same. Which meant, as long as he kept going to the same location where the machinery’s heart was located and transformed into someone else while stepping out of the room after his work was done, then Sanosuke was sure that he would be able to get away with this. And so Sanosuke went through with his plan. He would stop at the room, plant 3 maybe 5 explosions, transform into someone else where the same shinobi attire with maybe a few different alterations to the outfit, walk out, and then the cycle would start from square one to a different ship all together.

This went on for about 2 hours where all the ships, which was about 10 of them, were all rigged with explosions that were waiting to go off at his command. Walking away from the site, Sanosuke went over to the man that he knocked out to cease his clothing. The man looked as though he might be waking up in just a few minutes. He had to kill the man before he woke up since Sanosuke wasn’t going to take the chance of the man giving him away making his escape messy. He would have to make this quick. Right after he was done putting on his clothing, Sanosuke got out his sword and impaled it in the man just when he was about to get up. All life slipped from his body when his sword hit the man’s chest cavity. With his work done, Sanosuke wiped the blood from his sword and sheathed his weapon before leaving the scene.

Dun dun dun…another bites the dust…
